| SUMMARY The Software Engineer will join the Legacy Platform engineering team which is responsible for supporting and enhancing a legacy system built utilizing SQL Server C AspNET and ASP technologies In addition heshe will participate with the design and implementation of integration and transition code for a new platform which is currently under development ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design develop enhance and maintain a hybrid AspNETASP application and web services Serve as technical lead for the legacy platform Participate in full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis design and documentation Investigate and analyze reported defects in a timely manner and recommend solutions to these problems including code changes data updates or configuration modifications Optimize legacy code and SQL scripts as needed EDUCATIONYEARS EXPERIENCE BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems Engineering Mathematics or Information Technology or equivalent experience 3+ years experience working with C 3+ years experience working with ASPNet 3+ years SQL experience creating SQL queries and stored procedures (TSQL) 2+ years experience developing web services (ASMX andor WCF) 2+ years experience working with ASP KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Required) Proficiency in the following technologies C AspNet and AdoNet Excellent knowledge of SQL and TSQL Must be skilled in the creation maintenance and optimization of an RDBMS including SQL queries stored procedures and the use of ADONet Good knowledge of Web service development using ASMX andor WCF technologies utilizing SOAP Knowledge in multitier web application design involving largescale highvolume webbased systems Knowledge of source code control and configuration management principles Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment Majority of assignments will be done alone so the candidate must be a motivated selfstarter Strong interpersonal problem solving and analytical abilities Professional demeanor team player orientation Ability to interface with internal parties at all levels Excellent analytical skills understanding of project life cycles Fullcycle software system design development validation and deployment KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Preferred but not required) Experience in integrating software and services with external vendors and companies (B2B scenarios) Prior use of NUnit and NDoc Prior use of Selenium |
