| Summary Under general supervision provide technical software hardware and network problem resolution to all MedVet computer users by performing questionproblem diagnosis and guiding users through stepbystep solutions clearly communicate technical solutions in a userfriendly professional manner provide oneonone enduser training as needed troubleshoot computer problems troubleshoot network printer problems pass more complex enduser problems on to Senior Support Technicians Track and route problems and requests document resolutions via the IT helpdesk Responsibilities Provide hands on and phone support for internal clients Troubleshoot and resolve desktop computer issues Assist with CE event preparation and support Oncall rotation to support 24 hour clinics Qualifications Good verbal and written communication skills Able to work successfully as part of a team and autonomously Ability to remain composed in stressful and emergency situations Flexible about working additional hours when necessary Attention to detail Experience with o Windows XP o Windows 7 o MS Office 2003 2010 o Windows 2003 Terminal Services and other remote technologies o VPN experience o Mobile phone technology (Android Apple and Blackberry) o Basic network printing o General networking o Mac OS Associated degree and 1 year IT support experience or equivalent support experience A+ and Network+ certifications are preferred but not mandatory Shift Monday Friday plus oncall Schedule is subject to change based upon projects and needs of the organization This position will also require travel to support our other locations on a regular basis |
