| Position Overview As a back end engineer at Evisors you will be sowing the seeds of a revolution in career services by helping develop our career services platform Your focus will be back end development extending our frameworks and supporting feature development Youll be joining a highly capable and ambitious four person engineering team working directly under the CTO I write maintainable code should be your mantra Responsibilities Furthering development and maintaining a custom MVC framework Effectively and extensively documenting the code base Working in teams in feature development from software specifications development through Technical Qualifications BS in Software + 2 years of relevant experience or an MSc Extensive experience with PHP MySQL MVC design pattern experience Version control experience (we use git follow the githubflow workflow) Unix environment experience including maintaining LAMP stacks Bonus skills working with Twilio Postmarkapp Sphinx Search and payment gateways like Stripe Other Qualifications Comfortable working with tight deadlines Great communication and time management skills A healthy dose of curiosity about new technologies and startup culture are all a must Why Work at Evisors Be a part of something big Our goal is serve students at every university in the world Be entrepreneurial crossfunctional and creative We care about the hole not the drill Work with great people Were a group of smart motivated adventurous and really nice people Own a piece of the company and work with the pride of ownership Weekly dashboard meetings give everyone full transparency on where the company is going About Evisors Evisors is a disruptive Edtech company on a mission to democratize the access to great career advice We combine the worlds largest network of career mentors with a career services platform that allows jobseekers to access personal career coaching and webinars from mentors with relevant professional backgrounds Evisors was founded at Harvard Business School in 2010 inspired by the realization that even the worlds best endowed career office couldnt afford enough career coaches to cover the needs of its students Today Evisors is funded by VC investors Vocap Ventures Nebula Ventures and the New York Angels We have worked with over 50 universities globally (including Oxford Cambridge and Georgetown) and helped 10000s of jobseekers land their dream job but our journey has only just begun |
