Job Description
| The Quality Assurance Analyst will assist the Quality Assurance Manager and staff with delivering high quality bugfree software developed by the Technology Solutions department This position involves working in the financial services industry on transactional proprietary software Responsibilities Test systems for functionality accuracy and adherence to specifications by performing systems integration interface and regression testing Develop maintain and execute Test Plans and test cases to ensure quality of software solutions including Production rollouts Assist with designing and developing the automation architecture and configuring the automation test environment Assist with automation methodology follow it and direct others in regards to automation methodology Develop and maintain automated test scripts (VB code QuickTest Pro and Test Director) Assist the team with integration of Mercury with the MKS configuration tool Record and maintain defecttracking inventory Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance procedures Work closely with developers and interact with other departments such as Product Management Technical Support etc Coordinate with Project Management team when providing quality assurance services for particular projects Submit daily andor scheduled status reports to the Quality Assurance Manager Handle multiple quality assurance projects concurrently Requirements Bachelorrsquos degree or higher in Computer Science Information Systems or Software Engineering is required Experience managing offshore teams Minimum of 4 years experience in Quality Assurance and testing software applications and systems is required Minimum of 2 years experience with the Mercury Interactive Test Director automated test tool including QuickTest Pro WinRunner and LoadRunner Prior experience with quality assurance and testing writing test plans and test cases Familiar with SDLC test phases quality standards (ISO CMM) practices and test methodologies Experience in webbased software testing process and procedures Experience with Software Bug Tracking system Experience with Mercurys tool suite (Test Director QuickTest Pro WinRunner LoadRunner) Ability to develop solid and maintainable automated test scripts manual test cases test plans and test sets Ability to write test scripts in VB Script and experience in financial services is highly desirable Proactive communication within organization and ability to gather and understand technical requirements from different sources such as Product Development Operations etc Excellent communication and written skills Attention to detail organized good analytical and troubleshooting skills and being a key team player are a must Knowledge of and adherence to Change Control procedures Ability to work independently multitask and focus on critical path deliverables are essential skills for this position Strong SQL skills are a major plus |
