| Data AnalystProgrammer (1 position ndash Raleigh) Position 60088548 The Data AnalystProgrammerrsquos role is to work with the Gaming Reporting and Analysis Manager to plan design develop and launch efficient business reporting and analysis solutions in support of core organizational functions and business processes Responsibilities include but are not limited to administer of business intelligence servers and applications administer of the SAS management console the creation and maintenance of users groups and permissions define create and maintain data models and work flow analyze the process of data recovery perform maintenance and monitor space requirements for physical database(s) develop adhoc queries reports and analysis using development and query tools such as SAS Enterprise Guide and Business Objects translate logical models to physical models with implementation in SAS and possibly other environments analyze data from various data sources and verify the accuracy and integrity of data from the various sources develop reports using business intelligence tools such as Business Objects and SAS create and query relational and data warehouse (Star Schema) database systems analyze document and suggest system enhancements for existing report processes and database systems create and maintain ETL (extracttransfer of data) jobs maintain communication between Gaming Systems and NCEL staff in all areas analyze the various operational functions of internal and external clients and implement NCEL and third party solutions to facilitate the desired outcome implement and participate in testing verification and acceptance of third party reporting and analysis systems and provides support of the design and setup of clients educate end users on reporting systems Respond to questions complaints and requests for information by telephone in person or by mail from retailers players employees department head etc Education and experience Bachelorrsquos Degree in Computer Science or related field 3 years of professional experience 2 years of Business AnalyticsIntelligence tool(s) SQL and database experience preferred or any combination of education training and experience which provides the knowledge skills and abilities for this job Candidate must have the ability to analyze data document work clearly and efficiently meet deadlines and be aware of scheduledriven tasks prioritize many tasks in a fast paced environment and have excellent problem solving and communication skills Candidate must also be an independent thinker and selfstarter and able to apply logic in critical situations be able to work extended hours as required by project deadlines be able to carry and move moderate (up to 20 lbs) materials and supplies Hiring Range 5800065000 depending on work experience skills and salary history Closing Date January 25 2012 |
