| Put your networkserver administration skills to the test troubleshooting and supporting the defacto standard for data replicationhigh availability softwaremdashDoubleTakeRegistered Support other network administrators with complex technical questions regarding data protection and high availability for Windows server environments ranging from small to enterprise level The Technical Support Engineer provides technical support including product troubleshooting operating system support and third party software application support for the DoubleTake customer Responsibilites Keep up to date on the latest problems and fixes on supported products Become certified or maintain certification on products as they are released to continue to expand service abilities and ensure the customers and vendors are receiving the best support in the industry Provide support via the telephone and email Open Service Requests for each new customer issue Troubleshoot issues in realtime with the client over the phone Gather any information that can be used to diagnose a problem Escalate phone call and service requests as necessary Completes other duties as assigned Skills Required Ideally 5+ years experience supporting Microsoft networks BS or BA degree in a computer related field preferred Equivalent work experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement Previous experience as a Systems Engineer or a System Administrator Experience with design configuration and implementation of Microsoft based servers Solid knowledge of WAN and Network protocols (WINS DNS DHCP TCP) Extensive experience supporting an Enterprise environment with at least 20 servers preferred Ability to solve complex Active Directory issues and Microsoft Exchange issues Experience supporting Exchange (55 through 2007preferred) and SQL Server (2000 2005 preferred) Knowledge of Storage area networks preferred Minimum certification requirements Current MCSE preferred or previous MCSE or equivalent experience Ability to analyze technical problems without actual visual contact with machine have excellent learning skills Ability to utilize available resources to the fullest must have excellent computer skills Ability to organize and manage multiple prioritiesability to multitask Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of senior management Must have a strong enduser orientation from a peer network administrator pointofview and enjoy working with people Must be able to demonstrate prior experience in being an important player on a high performance team High level of customer service Fluent in spanish a plus An Equal Opportunity Employer Vision Solutions Inc is an equal opportunity employer and we do not and will not discriminate on the basis of race sex color physical or mental disability religion national origin sexual orientation age marital status or status as a disabled or Vietnam era veteran or any other protected category Information provided on this application will not be used for any discriminatory purpose |
