| 1 Linux System Administration 30 Candidate will work closely with engineering on the design delivery and implementation of product technology Works with project staff and DevOps team to strategize plan and build the architecture of a growing Linux services base Collaborates with Infrastructure and Security teams to guide physical infrastructure and support environment choices Provisions and maintains application environments Provides Linux systems administration support including 247 escalation coordination in system outage events Provide thirdtier troubleshooting support of 24HFdeveloped applications 2 Automating System Provisioning and Management 30 The Associate DevOps Engineer will work on a number of DevOps tasks including the combination of programmingdevelopment and systems administrationengineering to produce automated reliable and scalable cloud infrastructures Candidate will contribute automation and monitoring code in a fast paced dynamic environment Collaborates with development team in a DevOps capacity to engineer and enforce server and infrastructure standard configurations across all environments Develops code and builds and integrates tools for automating deployment and operations tasks 3 Systems Integration 20 Candidate will design build and configure server and F5 loadbalancing infrastructure that will run a multitiered servicesbased JAVA applications Understanding of F5 load balancing JBoss java containers JNDI or other javabased integration technology is required Provides limited deployment support for new applications and new releases of existing applications 4 Monitoring and Improving System Performance20 Helps to design build configure automate and monitor our infrastructure Candidate will collaborate with the engineering team to determine configure and maintain the best toolset for ongoing monitoring and alerting REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1) Knowledge skills abilities Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills Strong systems integration troubleshooting skills Strong documentation and communication skills both written and verbal You will be expected to document and communicate your projects to multiple groups at all steps along the way in order to ensure agreement Strong understanding of JBoss Tomcat application containers Strong automation and scripting skills Ability to comprehend complex issues and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization Ability to understand distributed package management and configuration (ChefPuppet) Ability to evaluate new technologies and recommend changes Basic understanding of load balancing technology Basic understanding VMware and VMware tools or other server virtualization technology Basic understanding of configuration management and deployment principles Basic understanding of application security Basic understanding TCPIP networking 2) Minimum certificationseducational level Preferred ndash Bachelors degree (BS) from fouryear college or university in a technical or scientific discipline such as computer science or math Minimum required equivalent combination of education experience and technical training 3) Minimum experience Preferred 2 years programmingsoftware development experience required (Python and Ruby experience are a plus) Preferred 2 years Linux system administration Basic understanding of virtual machine environments and TCPIP networking 4) Physical Requirements Must be able to list over 40 lbs Minimal travel is required less than 10 |
