Design and maintain multioffice IT network environment by identifying network requirements installing upgrades performing maintenance and monitoring network performance Duties and Responsibilities Provide desktop support for local and offsite users Establish network specifications access and security requirements Familiar with windows software Active Directory Dell Servers and Apple products Evaluate network performance issues including availability utilization and latency planning and executing the selection installation configuration and testing of equipment defining network policies and procedures establishing connections and firewalls Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis and performance tuning troubleshooting network problems escalating problems to vendor Secures network by developing network access monitoring control and evaluation maintaining documentation Familiar with VPN Upgrades network by conferring with vendors developing testing evaluating and installing enhancements Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets monitoring expenses Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Other Relocation not offered Local residents preferred Standard office work hours plus ability to provide maintenance services during offhours Excellent troubleshooting skills required Ability to work independently and multitask Minimal travel requirements
