Job Description
| This position is responsible for the operation maintenance monitoring and implementation of IT security processes and procedures The Security Engineer must be well versed in understanding the information technology landscape including security infrastructure network client server emerging technology standards and trends Candidates will have the following responsibilities Communicates securityrelated concepts to a broad range of technical and nontechnical staff both verbally and in writing Develops information security plans (including provisioning and authentication systems firewalls routers proxy servers intrusion detection prevention (IDSIPS) Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) penetration testing vulnerability assessments and related security devices and services Implements a network security technology to include wireless network access adhering to security policy established by management andor Security Officer Maintains detailed documentation of network security remote access and WAN standards and procedures Implements security auditing tools follows processes and procedures to monitor network security Requirements Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred 35 years experience in ITSecurity CISSP or other network and security certifications are preferred Ability to develop implementation templates for repeatable business processes and participate in development of project plans and appropriate workbreakdown structures is a plus Must be able to carry a cell phone or other mobile device and respond to calls during the week and weekend Must be able to work outside normal work hours including weekends Some local and out of town travel may be required Middleware systems integrations and data migration experience preferred |
