| Auto req ID 994BR Organization OM5805834 SCADA Operations Location WPB Adm Headquarters (B1) Job Description Senior realtime monitoring and control software systems engineering analyst accountable for the support and enhancement of SCADA and Decision Support systems Team member responsible for a wide range of maintenance management operational support and enhancement tasks for the Districtrsquos SCADA systems Works with other technical staff and members of the user community to determine user requirements Participates in the design and implementation of interfaces between systems networks middleware databases programmable remote terminal units and other distributed intelligent devices Conducts tests prepares reports and other documents Provides training to staff and contractors Effectively supports critical water control and decision support systems during emergency and storm onslaught events as well as twentyfourseven immediate level 12 and 3 responsibility for problem determination and operational restoration for water control and decision support systems Configures system and newly installed remote devices to allow for remote control and system performance monitoring Develops detailed drawings to translate into computer screen displays for system control and monitoring Reads designs maintains and interprets ladder logic blueprints and other schematic drawings Designs and implement interfaces from new systems into existing controls Develops maintains and upgrades process control computer system including database management networking programming and configuring of programmable Logic Control Systems and distributed control units Broad knowledge and experience with the technologies of realtime processcontrol and device automation hardware and software principles SCADA systems data collection applications interfaces to analytical instrumentation PLCPC based control systems SCADA applications custom applications systems integration and SQL Demonstrated experience and familiarity with Visual Basic DNC MS MS Access java script VBA XML XSL NET configuring and programming control operations and associated functions including distributed control concepts VSAT communications telemetry related communications and protocols Knowledgeable and experienced in the following areas decision support software principles water control structures (gates dams weirs bladder gates singlemultiple diesel and electric pumps remote intelligent controllers) telemetry digital radio microwave network operation goes satellite data capture and Ilex corp DCS toolkit expertise Campbell scientific corp remote device hardware and software expertise Motorola corp remote device hardware and software expertise webMethods middleware Monitors and performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on SCADA systems workstations and applications EducationExperience Guidelines Typically has Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering Systems Engineering Computer Science or related field and 6+ years experience of demonstrated technical competence supporting SCADA realtime and communications systems Licenses Valid State of Florida Drivers License Physical RequirementsWorking Environment Due to the Districts response role and in the total scope of emergency management this position may at times be required to provide support before during and after major storm events and emergency situations such as hurricanes or other declared emergencies depending on assigned emergency response role Mostly sedentary in an office environment sitting at a desk and operating a personal computer to produce work products For more details and to apply visit the South Florida Water Management District website at httpwwwSFWMDgov Req ID994BR Location WPB Adm Headquarters (B1) EOE |
