| Turn5 Inc an ecommerce leader in aftermarket automotive parts is looking for a Web Developer to join our Ecommerce team Reporting to our Director ECommerce Creative you will build sites apps and web services integrate with third party services test troubleshoot and assure quality standards aid in improving our technology and web ecosystem and otherwise contribute to a fast growth fastpaced company culture in the rapidly evolving world of online retail Youll work with various departments to translate business objectives into technical requirements develop technical solutions to resolve business needs lead your own projects through development cycles and collaborate with the development team on larger projects Plus the culture is casual the people youll be working with are awesome Major Responsibilities Use of various programming languages to create extend maintain custom applications troubleshoot and develop web sites and landing pages Clear and constructive communication with project managers and department heads who have varying degrees of technical comprehension to arrive at an understanding of the direction needed and propose best solutions for achieving project goals Ability to keep up with drive a rigorous and efficient development schedule Own projects through scoping development QA and maintenance responsibilities Research and keep up with new technologies processes tools and techniques for web development Related projects assigned by manager Requirements Current expertise in the following technologies PHP MySQL (LAMP) web services SOAP REST HTML 5 XHTML Javascript jQuery AJAX and XML CSS3 Experience with MSSQL is a plus Experience with object oriented and procedural programming Ability to develop technical specs and flow that meet the business requirements of an assignment Ability to develop use casesuser stories and testing of said Familiarity with the following o Development for a clustered load balanced web platform o Best practices for Search Engine Optimization o Optimization for speed load time and efficiency of automated processes Excellent organizational and problem solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to manage time appropriately and meet deadlines The successful candidate will possess 12 years of professional web development Additionally the candidate will possess advanced skills in the above mentioned technologies accompanied by a Bachelors degree in a related field of study The successful candidate will also be able to provide a portfolio of prior work showcasing skilled usage of above mentioned technologies Skill testing also may be required |
