| SmartPractice is a family owned company consisting of a number of affiliate companies serving specific markets For nearly 40 years the SmartPractice family of companies has been a diversified organization providing practice management and patient communication solutions to clients throughout the healthcare community We are currently seeking a Information Technology Manager who is responsible for managing systems administrators and engineers supporting company systems This position is a handson working manager role with daytoday responsibility for the MS Windows systems Unix systems or Cisco network systems The successful candidate will be capable of fulfilling the requirements of a Network Security Engineer or Unix Systems Administrator (see below for further description) Please apply online to be considered ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB 1 Supervise and work with other technology administrators and engineers to provide and maintain solutions to meet business requirements using MS Windows Unix Linux and Mac operating systems Citrix XenServer and VDIinaBox environment Ciscobased multisite multinational interoperability VoIP communications Sybase ASE data management Network security PCI and HIPAA compliance System backups and restores Disaster recovery 2 Manage working relationships with thirdparty service and support maintenance providers 3 Prepare operating and capital budget requests related to system infrastructure requirements 4 Work with IT management to discuss current issues needs and future requirements 5 Handle daytoday responsibility for the MS Windows systems Unix systems or Cisco network systems (see separate job descriptions) Network Security Engineer Install configure troubleshoot and maintain network equipment consisting primarily of Cisco routers switches and firewall Design and implement networks to optimize traffic via appropriate VLANs LANs WANs while maintaining access control queuing and quality of service Configure and optimize solutions to support remote staff through VPN or similar solutions Work with Communications Specialist to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to remote location connectivity and local wireless networks Work with Unix Administrator Windows Administrator and Security Administrator to provide a secure system compliant with PCI and HIPAA requirements 5+ years of IT networking and systems experience with responsibility for installing network infrastructure including firewalls routers and switches and network management software with desirable experience in CCNA or CCNA Security Certification Or Unix Systems Administrator Install configure and maintain UNIX and Linuxbased platforms (Solaris 910 HPUX CentOS Debian Red Hat and Ubuntu) Apply experience with DNS DHCP NTP SNMP SSH Install configure and maintain Apache HTTP server software Develop and run UNIX scripts related to system monitoring and troubleshooting Enable monitoring tools such as Nagios Spiceworks etc to detect system performance issues 5+ years of experience in UNIX systems operations and administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience with desirable experience in Cisco firewall router and switch configuration REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelors degree in an ITrelated field Experiences 7+ years of IT infrastructure systems experience Characteristics Strong interpersonal and communication abilities analytical thinking strong customer service orientation demonstrated leadership is required Skills Needed Critical thinking skills Thought leadership Proven track record installing and maintaining systems environments Willingness to leverage current architecture to meet emerging needs Strong troubleshooting skills Initiative creativity innovation and attention to detail Ability to work as a team player Excellent communication skills Willingness to travel on an occasional basis Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities In support of the SmartPractice mission statement Healthier Practices Healthier Patients we have adopted a tobacco free environment and we choose not to hire tobacco and nicotine users SmartPractice is an Equal Opportunity Employer |
