Our Mission The PCAOB is a nonprofit corporation established by Congress to oversee the audits of public companies in order to protect the interests of investors and further the public interest in the preparation of informative accurate and independent audit reports The PCAOB also oversees the audits of brokerdealers including compliance reports filed pursuant to federal securities laws to promote investor protection General Job Description The PCAOB has a fulltime regular position for a Senior Business Analyst at Its Washington DC office This position reports to Assistant Director Program Management This position is exempt The Individual performs business requirements analysis researches and analyzes current processes and systems and works according to Agile principles and methodologies The Individual will also be responsible for leading smallmedium size projects and building relationships with the stakeholders at PCAOB DivisionsOffices The candidate will split time between the Washington and Ashburn offices to effectively accomplish their duties Responsibilities Inteniew the Business OwnersSubject Matter Experts (SMEs) understand their business processes develop requirements in the form of user stories work flows scenarios requirements documents and define acceptance criteria for the solution Research and analyze current systems to gain an understanding of customer business processes and develop creative solutions to business needs Act as a liaison between the agile delivery team and business groups by communicating product and business vision translating product needs Into technology solutions Convert the business requirements into user stories with enough detail for implementation provide clarification as needed Maintain the teams work backlog make sure that there Is an adequate supply of groomed stories In collaboration with the business and technical teams sequence requirements and schedule them into different releases Review and accept the solution delivered by the scrum team drive acceptance of the solution amongst the stakeholders Champion continuous process improvement across the product development lifecycle Provides support to the team for any testing or development needs Manage and provide functional and business practice mentoring to less experienced business analysts Perform basic Project Management activities Perform configuration and Implementation task for COTS and SaaS solutions by working closely with the Business and OIT Coordinate with the IT team all aspects of ongoing business operations including system production support maintenance Provide weekly written status reports and update project sites in SharePoint with the latest project updates Education Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent Required Qualifications At least 7 years experience as a Business Analyst Expertise in requirements gathering and documentation in an agile environment (User stories Epics Themes etc) Experience managing mentoring or supervising staff Excellent presentation interpersonal skills and writing skills Excellent strengths in time management and organization skills with an aptitude toward creative problem solving Track record of managing multiple complex tasks Proven ability to quickly learn new products systems and operations Strong facilitation conflict management and negotiation skills Proficiency In Microsoft Project Microsoft Office and Visio Preferred Qualifications Agile Scrum experience as a Product Owner Experience with business process modeling toois (eg UML BPMN) Experience using Microsoft SharePoint Knowledge of Informatica or other ETL tools (eg Microsoft SSIS) Understanding of web applications and architectures Skills with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server (preferred) andor other databases (eg Oracle) Knowledge of ERWIn (preferred) andor other data modeling tools (eg ERStudio) Experience with reporting tools like Microsoft SSRS SAS or other reporting tools Prior experience implementing SaaS COTS solutions and managing vendors Knowledge of changeconfiguration management Our Values The PCAOB encourages a spirit of cooperation and teamwork and fosters an environment of professional growth where employees can exercise their leadership ability creativity technical competence and public interest focus in helping the PCAOB fulfill its mission Equal Employment Opportunity The PCAOB is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to establishing a diverse workforce
