| Western National Insurance Group is one of the leading propertyandcasualty insurance carriers in the Midwestern Northwestern and Southwestern US Collectively Western National Insurance Group is licensed to operate in 20 states Our combined premium writings are over 350 million and our total assets are over 750 million Western National seeks a detailoriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills to fill a Database DeveloperBusiness Intelligence Specialist position in our IT Department This individual will have both development and operational database responsibilities The Database DeveloperBusiness Intelligence Specialist will provide DBA support of data marts and BI environments (security performance maintenance plans etc) provide database design (logicalphysical) architecture and data modeling for relational OLTP and OLAP databases setup automate support and monitor database replication develop views stored procedures indexes functions triggers and other database objects to facilitate efficient data ETL manipulation and consistency develop and implement solutions to improve SQL performance utilizing builtin monitoring and tuning tools develop ETLs to load data marts and or data warehouse provide design and support on the Business Intelligence delivery system review and approve database objects being promoted to production provide database support for the application developers create and maintain technical documentation for environments analyze and evaluate various database software packages and design aids for possible use in the computing environment and interact with vendors and recommend purchases A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience MCSE designation with Data Platform or BI (Preferred) 3 5 recent years MSSQLMySQL development 2+ recent years SSIS development 3 5 years MSSQLMySQL administrationsupport 5+ years in the IT industry 2+ years providing Business Intelligence solutions to or through SharePoint solid SSIS development skills ability to quickly and accurately analyze complex database environments ability to provide technical leadership and expertise to define and adhere to best practices for building and delivering high performing stable database systems (OLTP and OLAP) troubleshooting skills a passion to continue learning new technologies and approaches ability to work independently and in team environments and strong communication and multitasking skills are required Strong background in system administration including Windows Server and PowerPivot experience with SharePoint 2010 and prior Net or JAVA development experience especially with data web service providers and insurance industry experience are preferred Western National Insurance is a leading superregional PC insurance company headquartered in Edina MN Visit us at wwwwninscom to learn more For immediate consideration please email your resume with cover letter to hrmailwninscom fax (952) 9213159 or mail to Western National Insurance Co Attn Human Resources 5350 W 78th Street Edina MN 55439 EOE |
