| RESPONSIBILITIES Supports and develops operational systems for the Department of Water by developing routines to integrate and interface external systems with operational information systems within the department The incumbent will create requirements design configure install and maintain documentation according to City standards and work with users and customers to research and resolve production issues for supported applications in a timely manner by interfacing with users to define systems requirements andor necessary modifications and upgrades Performs the duties of a Web Administrator Architect Also responsible for applications and interface development in Microsoft C Visual Basic Net 3540 Microsoft SQL Server 20052008 with a focus on the structured query language (SQL) development Monitors and supports third party services applications (web services client applications) and other service provider data interfaces MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems Information Systems Computer Science or related field and experience with SQL (MySQL Oracle SQL server new SQL and nonSQL persistent data storage (noSQL field based) building publishing and consuming web services AND 2 years of experience in one of the following Computer programming database design or administration or software design and maintenance experience in a multiuser application environment using Net programming languages (Ajax C Visual Basic) AND experience in development of and support of Microsoft SharePoint OR Associates degree in Management Information Systems Information Systems Computer Science or related field and experience with SQL (MySQL Oracle SQL server new SQL and nonSQL persistent data storage (noSQL field based) building publishing and consuming web services AND 4 years of experience in one of the following Computer programming database design or administration or software design and maintenance experience in a multiuser application environment using Net programming languages (Ajax C Visual Basic) and experience in development of and support of Microsoft SharePoint Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the US Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent region LICENSE REQUIREMENT Must possess a valid drivers license at time of appointment and maintain thereafter as a term and condition of continued employment APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE AT httpjobsdaytonohiogov Applications must specifically address each of the minimum qualifications directly showing how each is met Your online application must be submitted by January 24 2013 |
