| Job title IT Support Technician Reports to IT Manager Department MIS Grade Salary Company Profile Thompson Co of Tampa Inc is a privately held specialty consumer catalog and ECommerce business based in Tampa Florida Position Overview Responsible for the following aspects as directed by the IT Manager Install upgrade and maintain PC systems and peripherals Troubleshoot and computer hardware software printers and other network devices Respond to help desk calls as they arise Perform daily backup tasksrotation of tapes Installation and Configuration of Servers Provide network and system support to VoIP systems including dialer Maintain wireless devices printers and networking equipment Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications 3 5 years of relevant work experience Operating Systems Strong technical experience supporting Win7XP Pro and Windows 20032008 Server Software experience At least 2 years installing configuring and supporting MS Office Suite Solid understanding of IP Networks Individual must be selfmotivated possess friendly customer relationship skills and be able to multitask Scripting Preferred Qualifications A+ CCNA or Microsoft certifications are a plus Linux and Mac OS experience a plus SQL experience a definite plus Knowledge of VoIP and other call center related technology |
