| Lumenpulse is a manufacturer of high performance architectural LED lighting fixtures for commercial institutional and urban environments Since its inception Lumenpulse has been redefining the way LED lighting systems are designed and built including raising the bar on lifetime and sustainability standards When you choose a career with Lumenpulse you are selecting to work in fast growing company that is geared to be a leader in the rapidly expanding global lighting marketplace You will join the best minds in the LED lighting industry in helping to create award winning lighting solutions that illuminate some of the worlds most iconic structures Learn grow and define your career in a collaborative environment focused on producing the most innovative lighting solutions on the planet Job Description Embedded systems is a core competency that is required for Lumenpulse to stay on the cutting edge of technology and control in the fast paced architectural solid state lighting market Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering and located in our Boston office this embedded systems engineer will supplement a dynamic integrated engineering team to provide unique and innovative embedded solutions to solve complex lighting and control challenges This position will require a special blend of embedded hardware and firmware expertise to help Lumenpulse continue to take itself to the next level Education Requirements Bachelors degree (BA) from a four year college or university in electrical or computer engineering Position Requirements 2 4 years experience in embedded systems In depth knowledge of firmware development primarily in C but capable of diving into complex and time critical assembly language when needed Comfortable developing functional clean well commented code in a variety of development environments (Microchip MPLAB Renesas HEW Atmel etc) Experience with embedded communications protocols a plus (DMX512 UART DALI Ethernet wifi etc) Exceptional knowledge of embedded hardware design including both schematic capture and PCB Layout tools (PADS and Altium Designer a plus) Strong written and oral communication skills Experience with Microsoft platform business software Ie Excel Word Outlook Comfortable in the fast paced dynamic atmosphere Experience at working both independently and in teamoriented environments Well tuned documentation skills to accurately and efficiently communicate with management and other members of the organization Can easily conform to shifting priorities demands and timelines as a result of welldeveloped analytical and problem solving capabilities Approximately 15 travel requirement Lumenpulse offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes medical dental and vision insurance coverage longterm disability insurance and a 401k plan |
