| POSITION SUMMARY Technical Field Engineer will provide onsite technical support customer case management to resolve customer issues regarding installation configuration and use of the Raritan iPDU products This position will be reporting to the technical support organization in New Jersey ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively communicate on a peer level with IT professionals within customer accounts to quickly and accurately recommend and communicate solution strategies Facilitate timely resolution of customers problems by logging and maintaining status of problems and their associated resolutions in call tracking system Project manage critical customer cases Participate in the technical review process for new product launchesbetas and mentor and train customers technical resources Ability to travel and on short notice Responsible for supporting sales opportunities by being a value add technical resource on Raritan iPDU products REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONS AssociatesBachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience Five years experience providing customer support for complex technical solutions in a data center environment Demonstrated experience in managing complex customer issues Excellent customerfacing project management analysis troubleshooting and technical skills Demonstrated basic technical knowledge of Data center facilities components (UPS PDUs single and 3 Phase Power) Data center IT components and interconnections (servers BladesBlade Chassis network switches RACK PDUs etc) Data center networks and protocols (IP SubnettingVLANs SNMPmodbus) Strong ability and inclination for new business hunting prospecting cold calling territory development and account management Proven track record of quota achievement thru pipeline development and high win rate 5+ years of successful sales experience in IT Infrastructure and Power Training and experience with strategic selling Outstanding communication skills and presence Strong technical expertise in the IT segment VMware ESXESXi VM configurationcontrol Windows XP Windows 7 (including UAC) Change Controlmanagement systems EXCELcsv file creation Data center surveys and audits Ability to work flexible hours with the possibility of frequent travel Accountability and the ability to adaptmultitaskmanage changing priorities Selfmotivated ability to learn and apply new skills quickly Good oralwritten communication and interpersonal skills required |
