| Company Introduction Ingenuity Systems (Ingenuity) is a leader in life science biomedical information products and services enabling researchers and biologists to analyze and biologically interpret their experimental data and understand their data within the context of genes pathways and networks Ingenuity is passionate about its products and dedicated to providing researchers and biologists with the knowledge required to make Better Decisions Faster accelerating the pace of drug discovery and development Ingenuity has existing customer relationships with all of the top 40 pharmaceutical companies and large percentage of government hospitalmedical academic nonprofit and biotech customers Position Responsibilities Troubleshoot complex UnixLinux issues in production lab and corporate environments Build deployment management monitoring and security systems using DevOps techniques Implement zerodowntime production pushes Secureharden application systems against compromise Work closely with engineering to script and maintain release consistency across environments Requirements 57 years of experience with UNIXLinux system administration (Linux SUSE) Superior knowledge of LinuxUnix Advanced knowledge of TCPIP and networking Experience in dynamic interpreted programming languages (such as shell Perl Python) Familiarity with Tomcat 6 and above Security compliance history and mastery of Linux command line Experience with securing public websites Willing to participate in a 24x7 oncall rotation Strong organization and documentation skills Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Strong knowledge in various systems disciplines (dns ldap smtp sshssl ntp package managers tcpip internals volume managersfilesystems etc) Preferred Familiarity with data transfer protocols http(s) REST SOAP JSON Working knowledge of Java BS in Computer Science Experience with open source monitoring and alerting systems (hobbitxymon nagios cacti etc) Experience with VMware Xen based server virtualization Experience with systems automation tools such as puppet or chef Ingenuity Systems is a EEOAA employer |
