| The Technical Analyst is responsible for assisting Verndalersquos Lead Architects with the run management of projects through the project lifecycle (conception execution launch support) The Technical Analyst is the primary backup for projectrelated questions if the Lead Architect is unavailable and also ownsorganizes all projectrelated documentation The person in this position must familiarize himherself with scope objectives and architecture across multiple projects as well as the role and function of each Verndale team member in order to effectively support the Lead Architects This position serves as a primary facilitator for crossteam communication and collaboration running recurring sync meetings capturing feedback and following up on action items Responsibilities Documentation Responsible for owning and updating all front and backend documentation This documentation originates from various department owners and is compiled and edited by the Technical Analyst Ability to identify ldquogapsrdquo overlaps and conflicting information in documentation outline basic test scenarios provide implementation recommendations and understand the integration of modulesweb parts within content management systems Must be able to effectively communicate and document complex user interaction scenarios Estimation Collect projectspecific estimates from departmental leads (IA Design HTML Engineering) and hand off to sales Possess a solid understanding of frontend development (XHTML CSS JS) and have experience with middle tire and back end development (ASPNET C SQL) Experience with CMS systems specifically Sitecore is a big plus Communication Facilitating crossdepartment communication is key to this role The Tech Analyst leads recurring ldquostanduprdquo meetings with members of the Engineering QA PM IA teams and capture followup on any actionblocking items The Tech Analyst will be the backup ldquogotordquo person for project specific questions if the Architect is unavailable Qualifications Bachelors Degree in related field specialized training or 36 years of equivalent work experience in ITsoftware industry Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to cultivate relationships with internal departments Excellent attention to detail The ability to gather analyze and document information (although development knowledge is required development will not be a focus of this role) Experience with ASPNET SQL C CSS XHTML JS Experience with CMS integration Familiarity with both agile and waterfall development methodologies is a plus Must be flexible and comfortable with the changing demands of a rapidlygrowing and fast moving company Benefits 3 weeks vacation to start 912 paid holidays per year 401K Annual review Bonus plan referral bonus Health ins Dental ins Vision ins STDLTD ins Life Inurance Commuter Benefit FSA Account Dependent Care benefit Employee recognition awards Company sponsored events and outings Company treats for lunch every Friday Verndale info Since 1998 Verndale has helped hundreds of emerging and midsize businesses maximize the value and reach of their web assets with a comprehensive offering of strategy design development search marketing and support services Verndale is a Microsoft Certified Development Partner and maintains active partnerships with many of the leading Content Management Portal Commerce Search and EMail Marketing platforms The firm has been repeatedly recognized by the Boston Business Journal and Inc Magazine as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in Massachusetts and the US respectively |
