| About the Job Dynamic fast pacedHendersonNVlaw firm specializing in creditor bankruptcy eviction foreclosure and civil litigation is seeking a full time FoxPro ProgrammerTechnical Specialist II to join its growing team Reporting middot Reports to Chief Technical Officer Job Description The Firmrsquos FoxPro Programmer Technical Specialist II will be responsible for the design implementation and management of all NET and MS SQL related custom programs and report routines created for the Firm involving the support of the Firmrsquos FoxPro application QLaw This position requires someone who has multifaceted skill sets and who will be leadingmanaging multiple projects as well as performing secondary network administration and technical support specialist job functions on a daily basis This person will need to be able to provide clear writtenverbal communications to management as well as directly interact with endusers to meet the Firmrsquos requirements relating to any IT problems and resolutions that may arise Responsibilities middot Manage complex relational FoxPro databases middot Read and decipher complex instructions data models and systems architecture middot Familiarity with QLaw desirable but not required middot Understanding basic accounting principles a plus middot Experience with automating process functions middot Participate in project planning processes and provide input and guidance on the impact of various technical issues relating to proposed programming projects as a whole middot Analyze data and determine methodology for conversions middot Perform data manipulation (mergers database splits platform upgrades) middot Perform Import and export writing middot Technical Documentation Primary Duties middot Handling of projects and providing deliverables as requested middot Project scoping through the process of uncovering project objectives and measures of success and then devising a strategy to meet those goals middot Complex report statement format ebill and document template writing middot Develop and review sample data maps for Firm projects middot Provide technical assistance to project managers trainers and IT support staff as needed in the following areas middot FoxPro Database Administration middot Testing environment setup and maintenance middot Testing procedure design middot Product functionality middot Performance tuning middot Enhancement design middot Complete administrative paperwork middot Provide input on implementation processes to keep departmental practices and procedures current and accurate middot Keep up to date on all product features and functions known issues and upcoming fixes and enhancements related to each individuals area of expertise and middot Keep up to date on industry trends and technical issues affecting your area of expertise Secondary Duties middot Provide enduser level desktop support in resolving IT related issues middot Responsible for locating diagnosing and repairing IT related issues on a timely basis middot Work with hardware and software developers to identify and resolve problems middot Help maintain the Firmrsquos telecommunications devices network servers and end user workstations in enhancing the overall operations and efficiency of the Firmrsquos production environment middot Provide assistance to endusers regarding software andor hardware related issues middot Backup duties performed in the absence or unavailability of the Sr Network EngineerLAN AdministratorIT Specialist and middot Perform additional duties as defined and assigned by the Legal Administrator Essential Knowledge middot Intermediate Microsoft SQL Server experience middot 5 years experience in as many of the following as possible Visual FoxPro 8 TSQL MS SQL database management and design complex report writing trigger writing macro programming integrations importexport writing relational database conversions middot Experience with print merge document processes middot Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is desirable middot Ability to communicate with all levels of employer and employee organization middot Critical and logical thinking as it relates to grasping the big picture of a clients work and breaking it down into critical processes middot Ability to identify high risk issues within a project and resolve proactively middot Understanding of technical issues and considerations and their impact on a project middot Ability to work independently and with minimal management supervision which requires excellent time management skills self motivation and a willingness to accept ownership and responsibility of assigned projects middot Ability to handle multiple projects and multiple tasks simultaneously middot Ability to prioritize within and between projects and work under pressure with tight schedule and task dependencies middot Complex problemsolving and troubleshooting skills middot Excellent written and verbal
