| Job Description World Wildlife Fund (WWF) the worlds leading conservation organization seeks an Application Developer to support the development and enhancements to the internally built Project Tracking System (PTS) The Application Developer will develop and test Net and ASP code to deliver new and revised functionality for the Project Tracking System Primarily responsible for the code and SQL Server database configuration changes in PTS affected by the dual effort to replace code written in ASP with more robust ASPNET and create a unified user interface using CSS while simultaneously satisfying requests for new or revised functionality Major Duties and Responsibilities Extract andor rewrite existing ASP code to deliver equivalent or improved functionality in NET environment Facilitate through application functionality the integration of data from various source systems to present enhanced single source reporting capability with reasonable report execution times Provide user interface enhancements to facilitate simplified entry and analysis (ie allow for masterdetail data entry and review from a single screen not currently available in all entry screens) Maintain and develop existing and new complex crosstab queries and stored procedures to facilitate multidimensional reporting as required Outputs will be provided in Excel and Word ready format Performs other duties as assigned Working Relationships Internal Interacts daily with all levels of HQ staff in support of Program staff budgeting processes and Program Agreement tracking Liaise with business users External May interact with vendors for technical support Work closely with consultants Minimum Work Requirements EducationExperience Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required 4+ years experience in Microsoft application development with NET including VB or ASP 2+ years experience with Microsoft web application administration and configuration and a working knowledge of related technologies such as SQL Server SQL Server Integration Services packages Internet Information Server (IIS) Microsoft Office desktop application integration 2+ years experience in SQL Server with competency in Database administration in versions 200520082010 SQL Skills and Abilities Solid experience with Microsoft Windows Server and IIS installation and configuration and performance tuning High level proficiency in TransactSQL as well as experience in Visual BasicNet jQuery XML HTML XHTML JavaScript CSS Solid understanding of the Net object model Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and PLSQL and Oracle Financial General Ledger database objects Ability to manage multiple database sources applying appropriate data access technologies and updating connectivity methods as required Expert knowledge of MS Office Tools especially Word Excel Excel Services in order to facilitate integration with web applications Must possess a solid working knowledge of standard change management procedures Proficiency using code repository systems and familiarity with Apache SubversionTortoise or Team Foundation Server being a major plus Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasksprojects efficiently Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with business users in both training capacity as well as to facilitate accurate interpretation of business user requirements AAEOE Women and minorities are encouraged to apply To apply for the job please visit httpwwwworldwildlifeorgcareers job 13032 and submit cover letter and resume Due to the high volume of applications we are not able to respond to inquiries via phone Apply Here httpswww4recruitingcenternetcareerliaisoncomClientsWorldWildlifeFundPublicJobscontrollercfmjbactionJobProfilejob_id11046_CL_SOURCE1424928jtsrcwww2Edice2Ecomjtsrcid1673jtrfr |
