| Navitor is known in the industry as a trusted partner with a strong portfolio of products ranging from stationary labels folders stamps badges and promotional products Navitor continues to be known in the industry for new technologies that enhance customer relationships by providing dynamic solutions based on their needs As a Software Developer with Navitor you will be working with our development teams to provide software solutions to our manufacturing facilities around the US Your efforts will enhance our internal capabilities which will lead us in continuing to be one of the largest print resellers in the world We are seeking a high energy professional with a combination of technical ability software design and development (web) and works well in a team setting The incumbent is initially responsible for the implementation (support new development) of applications within our B2BB2C environment You will partner with other IT personnel as well as the business leaders subject matter experts and technology professionals to understand the companys strategic direction and priorities to assure the delivery of solutions providing the highest business value KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will be working in a virtual software development team comprised of internal and external (offshore) resources Work on support issues and new development as well as design through release management Work with subject matter experts business analysts project managers and infrastructure engineers in remote locations Participate in every phase of the software development lifecycle (Agile Waterfall) and are encouraged to have vision beyond the technical aspects of a project You desire to learn and are always looking for opportunities for improvement regardless of the solution components (people process technology) Strong customer and business orientation interpersonal written and verbal communications skills A real Team Player Working in a multidisciplinary team of offshore resources Experience in creating intuitive designs and specifications for the offshore team Conducting online webinars for knowledge transfer at night and early morning with offshore team Ability to work evenings when necessary with the offshore team or during software deployments Strong desire and ability to successfully tackle problems previously thought to be impossible to solve You are an out of the box thinker a collaborator an optimist set high goals yet are highly pragmatic and tenacious You know how to eat the elephant one bite at a time TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Object Oriented Design Net Framework C VBNet working in 50 of each over time more C Web Services Stored Procedures XML JavaScript JQuery Microsoft SQL Server IIS Ajax UI Design Team Foundation Server or Source Safe Version Control Tools Understanding of multitiered software architectures for business applications Visual studio REQUIREMENTS Position is located in Chicago IL and viable candidates must be able to work onsite a minimum of three days per week Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent work experience is required 5+ years of solid application development experience using Microsoft technologies Experience in development support of Ntier eCommerce applications using NET in a retail online stores The ideal candidate should have very strong design development and excellent problem solving skills Highlymotivated detailoriented selfdirected and flexible ABOUT US Navitor is part of the Taylor family of companies Taylor Corporation focuses on its customers evolving needspersonal and businessby providing innovative personalized solutions that help them express their uniqueness By leveraging the diverse capabilities of its many companies since 1975 Taylor has helped its millions of customers celebrate events achievements and significant milestones as well as assisted businesses in expressing their brands and differentiating themselves in the marketplace |
