| Multimedia Administrator January 2013 Developmental Studies Center (DSC) has been creating innovative educational programs for use in public schools across the nation for the past 25 years DSC700s mission is to help schools foster students academic social ethical and emotional development Our staff is committed to providing programs and professional development services that make a significant difference in terms of teacher practice and students learning and experience in school DSC applies research and innovation to create programs that support childhood and adolescent academic development and encourage students growth as caring principled people The Opportunity The Multimedia Specialist manages DSCs video and audio content in a Digital Asset Management system (DAM) interfaces with contract video producers and editors to enforce workflow rules and metadata taxonomy and assists staff with finding audio and video assets for multimediarelated projects The Multimedia Specialist may also be called upon to create edit or otherwise manipulate multimedia files as part of a project or prototype development Responsibilities Implement and maintain Multimedia Digital Asset Management System (DAM) Manage audio and video asset library Maintain metadata taxonomy and enforce workflow requirements Work with outside video producerseditors to ensure smooth transition of media to satisfy project needs Manage all audio and video media assets and coordinate backup and disaster recovery efforts with Systems Administrator Assist staff with accessing and reviewing multimedia assets Provide staff and vendors with tutorial services on DAM when needed Provide digital assets for and assist with prototyping efforts Identify implement and maintain video deployment system Master multimedia CDROM and DVDROM discs for inclusion in products andor marketing collateral Work with outside vendors such as content creators and disc duplicators Work with staff to coordinate production and testing of final disc products Provide testing services for misc DVD projects Other Graphic file manipulation PDF optimization Video editing and compression RequirementsSkills Technical understanding and experience with video compression systems Operating systems Mac OS X Windows Other software Adobe Creative Suite Toast Sorenson Squeeze General skills communication organization technical and analytical creativity taskproject management relational database knowledge hardware (raidtape backup) Salary Benefits DSC offers competitive salary and benefits including comprehensive medical and dentalvision insurance generous vacation and sick leave medical disability longterm disability life insurance and retirement program To Apply Please email your cover letter and resume MMadmindevstuorg Developmental Studies Center 2000 Embarcadero Suite 305 Oakland CA 946065300 NO CALLS PLEASE Resumes sent directly to individual staff will not be considered Developmental Studies Center is an affirmative actionequal opportunity employer For more information visit wwwdevstuorg |
