Job Description

The IT SpecialistDeveloper Aloha role is primarily responsible for being a key member of a small team tasked with planning developing and executing POS projects and new initiatives for Aloha and related systems The role requires extensive knowledge and experience with Aloha point of sale system development and implementations and Aloha integration with existing and new business systems This position is responsible for keeping up to date of any changes or upgrades to existing technology recommended by Pollys Inc Corp This position will have advanced knowledge of existing technology and act as an advisor for best practices as it relates to implementation and integration activities The incumbent in conjunction with the team is also responsible for escalation training knowledge transfer and support of the Pollys Inc Systems Implementation team and other teams including the Pollys Pies helpdesk This position will require working with third party vendors as they relate to the support of Pollys Pies and KFC brand restaurants This includes ALOHA SEI and various Gift Card and Credit Card processors Key Position Accountabilities Development Develops integration deployment and (when necessary) customization scripts of moderate complexity with an eye towards standardization and leveraging existing functionality wherever practicable High degree of focus on Aloha and related applications Provide successful resolutions for technical problems of moderate complexity by effectively identifying and defining problems analyzing requirements evaluating alternatives and making sound decisions to ensure the information systems meet the business objectives Conducts design tasks for Aloha and related computer systems Project Management Participates in special projects as required Manages tasks scope and requirements to meet agreedupon schedules Monitors own work and reports back to manager on progress Provides input on upcoming tasks and the task importance to the project Ensures project documents are complete current and stored appropriately Timely accurate status reporting estimating and scheduling of tasks Business Knowledge Has indepth knowledge of business unit processes and requirements Effectively identify and define problems analyze requirements evaluate alternatives and make sound decisions to ensure information systems meet the business objectives Can quickly and accurately assess problems and provide solution based on experience and insight into situation base on selfinitiation Understands Operational requirements necessary to drive business unit specific initiatives and provides input for forecasting and planning initiatives Communication and Leadership Participates in business unit meetings and IT department meetings Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors Effectively communicates plans and activities by utilizing appropriate interpersonal and communication skills Can effectively communicate plans issues and other relevant project status to manager and key stakeholders Effectively communicate plans and activities and develop mutually beneficial working relationships with customer vendor and department personnel by utilizing appropriate interpersonal and communication skills Support Provide support in problem solving and troubleshooting for Pollys Inc Restaurant applications with a high degree of focus on Aloha and related applications Log all activity on escalated support issues in help desk software while providing closure to all open escalations Develops strategies and rollout plans for successful execution and support of all Aloha restaurant Point of Sale software and hardware upgrades and new POS initiatives Works with external and internal help desks in knowledge transfer of Aloha restaurant Point of Sale support Maintain current knowledge of relevant restaurant hardware and software applications as assigned and train restaurant technicians and support vendors Apply diagnostic techniques to identify problems investigate causes and recommend solutions CustomerBusiness Relationships Collaborates with the restaurants franchisee owners and operators for effective change management related to systems support Sets and manages customer expectations as it relates to support of their systems Communicates effectively with management stakeholders and customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions Education Training Certification Required Advanced knowledge of Aloha Point of Sale Systems (v 67) Advanced knowledge of related Aloha systems including Configuration Center Credit Card Applications Preference given to candidates with MS Office Professional VISIO Project Experience in Similar Role or Function Required 2 to 5 years of progressive Application Integration Deployment and Support positions 2 to 5 years planning developing and deploying new systems and systems integration initiatives for varied systems Preference given to candidates with 3 years + progressive Role on Application Support teams ALOHA POS Quick Serve and Table Serve Or any other major Point of Sale system (Aloha Squirrel etc) ALOHA SIM
