| As a 24 hour Veterinary Hospital we are seeking a full time Information Technology Manager This is a handson position for a highly motivated IT professional Much of the technologies employed by our facility are specialized to the medical and veterinary field and therefore the ideal candidate will be someone who can become familiar with how these systems work and interact with each other Overall Duties Manage all information technology systems (networking servers desktops medical and business applications) Maintain documentation for all information technology systems Educate hospital endusers in their use of technology Ensure that all information technology systems are reliable and secure Develop short and long term technology implementation plans as well as businesscontinuity and disaster recovery plans Desired Skills and Experience 5+ years with direct handson management of technology infrastructure including configuring and maintaining networks in a medium sized LANWAN environment consisting of both copper and fiber connectivity Window server management Windows XPVista7 desktop management purchasing installing and configuring information technology hardware such as networking equipment and servers 2+ years of progressive responsibility within an information technology environment Experience working in a 247 environment with oncall duties is a plus Experience with imaging technologies such as medical DICOM etc is a plus Experience in a veterinary or medical environment is a plus Desired Characteristics Able to integrate technology into medical operations Is able to communicate and explain technical concepts in simple terms especially as they relate to medical operations Is able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a lean IT environment without sacrificing quality or collaboration |
