| The retail point of sale systems technical manager position is a management advanced technical position responsible for the oversight of POS technicians the installation maintenance operations and support of the companys retail pointofsale system (POS) software and hardware its subcomponents and other software and hardware infrastructure related to pointofsale system operations The retail point of sale systems technical manger will be responsible for Accurate configuration of POS system software and hardware Accurate data entry into POS system software (Products prices etc) Accurate information reporting from POS system software using both internal and external reporting tools and data sources Excellent SQL reporting skills a must Accurate information export from POS system software Training endusers on the use of POS system software and hardware Creating documentation for endusers on the use of POS system software and hardware Training IT staff members on the installation maintenance and support of the POS system Creating documentation for IT staff members on the installation maintenance and support of the POS system Working with other internal business groups to create new and innovative methods of improving POS system operations Participation in the specification of hardware and software components used in POS operations Daytoday management and oversight of other POS technicians and their work inputsoutputs Minimum Requirements Degree in CS MIS or ISIT and several years of progressive operational and managerial experience with POS systems (Aloha Table service or Quick service preferred) or equivalent POSTPSRDBMS systems used in restaurant hospitality food service andor retail operations RDBMS Certified MS SQL Server 2008 Database Developer certification preferred but will consider other MS SQL 2008 certifications and other DB certifications such as Oracle and MySQL Proficient in the use of productivity applications such as word processor spreadsheet and email Outstanding communications skills both written and oral Ability to work independently and responsibly without direct supervision This job requires providing oncall and afterhours support This job requires periodic travel outside of the local area This job requires the ability to lift and handle 75 lbs bend stoop stretch and use ladders as required for placement and retrieval of material or equipment This job requires maintaining a valid drivers license in the state of residence and being able to legally operate a motor vehicle at all times |
