| Luther Consulting LLC is a Carmel Indiana based company founded in 1998 that provides SoftwareasaService products for public health departments We work primarily in the area of data collection and reporting for sexually transmitted diseases We have four softwareasaservice products and we also do research and evaluation projects in the social sciences Our customers include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 11 state health departments and various other social service and public health entities Our business is growing very quickly and we have the following opening Web Database Application Developer Because of our growth were adding an additional fulltime position to our Web Development team Our current systems use Adobe Flash Flex and ColdFusion and we are moving applications over to HTML5 AJAX JavaScript jQuery We use MS SQL Server Enterprise for database backend Applicants need to have basic to intermediate understanding of SQL and have knowledge of a set of tools for developing web database applications Our applications focus on data collection as well as data visualization presentation and reporting Whats fun and challenging in the area we work is that our customers vary from communitybased organizations to researchers at CDC Figuring out how to have data make sense to the various groups so that they can use the data to plan programs and prevent the spread of disease is very challenging Its also rewarding knowing were helping our customers prevent the spread of disease Our customers are really cool people who are very patient but who have very complex needs We foresee increased focus on developing novel ways for users to interact with the data collected by our systems You would join two fulltime programmers two network engineers four technical support staff and a User Experience and Testing lead Applications are welcome from individuals with experience new graduates and those who expect to graduate in May 2012 About Us We offer a very flexible work environment Our staff members work very hard but our goal is to keep work and life balanced Our team members must be able to work independently ask for help from colleagues when they need it and volunteer to help when they see that a job needs to be done Our style is more of a familyowned business where we all look out for one another rather than a place where we only do the minimum necessary to get a paycheck or a large corporation where the focus is on pleasing investors It is unusual to work more than 40 hours per week and when we do its because of a large update or similar project but its not the norm Laughter is commonplace big egos are not A very gentle black Labrador retriever often joins us during the work day to encourage us and to beg for treats Our fulltime positions include competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and come with a comprehensive benefit package which includes Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) 5100 per year is available to use for eligible medical expenses including health insurance premiums In almost all circumstances this is not subject to income tax Group Dental Coverage employee and dependents premium 100 employer paid Group Vision Coverage employee and dependents premium 100 employer paid Group Medical Indemnity employee premium 100 employer paid This plan reimburses a fixed amount for various medical services such as doctors office visits and lab tests Group Life Insurance Basic Dependent and additional available Basic is 100 paid by employer (25000 coverage) Additional coverage may be purchased Group Short and Long Term disability is 100 paid by employer 401k A Safe Harbor plan is offered with a match of 100 for the first 4 deferred 401k participation eligibility begins after one year of employment Supplemental Insurance a wide variety of offerings such as AFLAC term life whole life universal life and prepaid legal These are individual policies that are funded by the employee and can be payroll deducted Mission Statement Luther Consulting LLC is committed to helping build a better society for present and future generations Our mission is to improve the human condition through technology and program evaluation We conduct research for projects that address the issues of HIV drug use and abuse homelessness social justice for youth economically disadvantaged gay and lesbian issues and underrepresented populations We provide systems and data to help policymakers and practitioners make wellinformed policy and program decisions that will improve educational outcomes increase economic opportunities improve health and ensure justice for all people We want to effect positive changes in our society and in our world especially for lowincome lowachieving and underrepresented populations To apply Send a resume to infolutherconsultingcom and tell us about yourself |
