| The Virginia Tech Foundation Inc has an opening for a Systems Administrator Reporting to the Director of Information Systems this position is responsible for the planning specification deployment documentation security compliance administration operational support and maintenance of server desktop mobile and other networked computing devices The Systems Administrator will provide a vision for the future direction of foundation operational support computing systems that supports the mission of the Virginia Tech Foundation through the application of technology Qualified candidates should have a bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or other related field and additional training andor experience an indepth knowledge of and experience working with Windows desktop and server operating systems in an Active Directory domain understanding of concepts and experience working with machine and disk virtualization data and disk encryption enterprise data backup and recovery software and desktop and server security software and excellent communication critical thinking and interpersonal skills This position includes a competitive salary and benefits package Please submit a resume and a list of three professional references to the Virginia Tech Foundation Inc Attn Human Resources Manager 902 Prices Fork Road Suite 4400 (MC 0172) Blacksburg VA 24061 or via email to toddsmithvtedu Resumes will be accepted until the position is filled Virginia Tech Foundation Inc is an EEO Employer |
