| Systems Administrator Growing Company in Medical Field San Diego company is looking to add another Information Technology Systems Administrator to its team You will be part of a small yet dynamic group capable of supporting a variety of technologies The ideal candidate will have experience as outlined below VMware ESX Server 50 51 EqualLogic SAN Management Veeam SQL 2012 Windows Active Directory Domain Management 2008 R2 2012 Dell Equipment Exchange 2010 Required Skills and Abilities 61623 Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years experience managing Windows Server platforms 61623 Integrity professionalism proven leadership and teambuilding qualitiesskills and a broad understanding of technical management and operations in an information technology enterprise environment 61623 Extensive expertise and experience supporting VMware technologies including architecture installation configuration management engineering and troubleshooting 61623 Datacenter (activeactive) and disaster recovery experience a must 61623 Ability to conduct peer reviews and readiness reviews of new system configurations Primary job functions 61623 Assists in the planning design documentation implementation and maintenance of various systems to include desktop and laptop PCs servers network equipment and software applications 61623 Maintains and monitors procedures for all server backups 61623 Work closely with program managers to ensure project quality assurance and delivery timelines 61623 Provide post implementation support for all programs hosted within the Company 61623 Participate in engineering reviews regarding the security stability scalability and performance of proposed changessolutions 61623 Monitors plans and coordinates the distribution of clientserver software and service packs or other updates 61623 Makes recommendations for new equipment andor services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement installation testing and maintenance 61623 Assists in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources 61623 Performs onsite and remote technical support 61623 Monitors and maintains the equipment at multiple collocation facilities 61623 Maintains excellent communication with the IT Director on all tasks and projects 61623 Provide technical leadership to junior staff and all company employees as needed 61623 Develops standards and procedures for current and future projects including disaster recovery plans 61623 Creates and maintains excellent technical documentation 61623 Plays an active role in technical problem resolution and avoidance 61623 Plays active role in new software development testing and implementation 61623 Provides oncall support as needed (occasionally must work outside the normal 800AM 500PM schedule for upgrades maintenance and emergency repair) 61623 Ensure all company IT policies and procedures are followed and maintained within the organization 61623 Performs other duties as assigned Education Training 61623 Must possess a Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology Electronics CIS or related field 61623 Must possess an MCSE or MCITP 61623 Must possess VMware VCP5 Benefits Include 61623 Accrual of Paid Time Off (PTO) 61623 Medical Dental Insurance 61623 Paid Holidays 61623 401k If you would like to join a team where you can wear many hats and have an opportunity to grow your career please submit your resume cover letter Salary requirement and a list of professional references |
