customers Were looking for someone who Has a minimum of 3 years in IT and 2 years experience working on the companys production applications and systems Has experience creating and maintaining processes within a production environment Has excellent customer communication skills Has strong troubleshooting skills across a wide variety of IT disciplines including networking VMs Windows system administration SQL Server and productioncustom applications Is able to read and write TSQL Has a bachelors degree in computer science information technologies or related field or have equivalent letter to jobscantaloupesyscom for immediate consideration Thank you Specific job responsibilities In the production IT role youll be working with industry leading hosting providers to maintain and enhance our systems functioning in our production environments owning and ensuring we deliver the companys service level goals You will be responsible for resolving problems in our live production applications at the system application network and mobile carrier levels Our production servers are located at Rackspace in VA and our disaster recovery site at Orcsweb in NC In regards to our hosting providers you will be responsible to Manage both vendors Manage all processes at both of these sites Enhance extend and maintain the systems as our deployments and customers grow Regularly create and report on the health report of all production systems Be primary oncall for all production site alerts and alarms Regarding PCI compliance you will be Responsible for maintaining and improving our PCI processes for Production IT Responsible for working with the auditors on the Production IT section of the PCI audit For our policies and processes you will be Responsible for ensuring Cantaloupe staff complies with our existing policies and processes for production IT Responsible for improving current processes and creating new ones as appropriate An example is the process all Cantaloupe staff should follow when theres a carrier outage You will lead resolution of issues and outages Cantaloupes services depend on the uptime of over half a dozen carriers Intermittently the carriers have outages that impact our customers The Cantaloupe support team is responsible for communicating outage status to customers You are responsible for tracking and reporting the carriers progress on resolving the outage as measured by our Seed devices successfully connecting in From time to time other problems and outages occur you are responsible for leading their resolution and for delivering timely status updates within the company In addition to production IT work from time to time youll be called on to help resolve some of the more challenging customer issues and requests To do so you will develop an understanding of Cantaloupes Seed solution both the functionality and the underlying SQL data structures Some examples are Problems between the customers Vending Management System (VMS) software and Cantaloupes Seed Sync link Problems can occur in the customers network setup the customers server or there can be VMS specific problems Cash accountability questions and problems Resolving them requires reading the sales and inventory files collected directly from the vending machines and researching Seed database tables Inventory variances Research why inventory levels are not as expected looking at VMS tickets and Seed database tables specifically around planned refill quantities sales and inventory adjustments Resolve problems that can arise when Seed devices are transferred between customers Seed device activation and provisioning problems One example is when a Seed device is active but not reporting in properly This requires looking at server exceptions andor cellular carrier portals to troubleshoot the problem In addition you will contribute to Cantaloupes internal business processes You will perform analyses of the information in our databases to provide insights on how we can help improve our vending operators businesses and to answer internal questions |
