| Altus365 Systems Administrator Altus365 is an innovative Software as a Service company based in Campbell CA As the leading provider of enterprise video search and management systems for global giants like Cisco General Motors Netapp Texas Instruments and VMware Altus365 enables users to capture share and search video content down to the spoken word We are currently looking to grow our IT operations department and are seeking a full time motivated and energetic person to fill the role of Systems Administrator This is a mid to senior level position where you will be working with multiple environments from traditional datacenter to the public cloud with technologies such as Java apache PostgreSQL and others scripting languages such as bash Perl python and be willing and able to learn to use other cuttingedge technologies effectively As part of the IT Operations department you will be responsible for the health and availability of services not only to our customers but also our corporate infrastructure You will get to administer production infrastructure systems triage problems create and document policy and provide valuable input on how to improve existing systems You will have the opportunity to have a voice and be part of the decision making process as our next generation platform is released to our catalogue of global Enterprise customers You will also be expected to enter into the oncall rotation so that we can continue to provide fantastic uptime to our customers Responsibilities Make a big impact in a company where you will have the opportunity to work with fantastic people cutting edge technologies and great customers The Successful Candidate will have BS in a technical field or equivalent experience supporting Enterprise software as a service 2 years or more as a Linux systems administrator working with SaaS applications The proven ability to use various scripting languages to automate tasks Have strong real world experience with Linux Windows server and desktop OSs Have strong experience with Linux Apache Java and at least one scripting language Have a good understanding LAN and WAN networking load balancing proxies etc Be able to talk to people Be able to tell the difference between when something is working and when it is done Be able to enter the oncall rotation Familiarity with relational database administration is a big plus but not required Ideally the successful candidate will also have experience with Automation tools such as Chef puppet spacewalk and monitoring tools such as Nagios Cacti and others |
