Job Description
| The Academy is seeking a professional customerfocused individual to manage our IT business analysis initiatives Reporting to the Director Division of IT Project Management this individual will analyze and assess current business processes and needs to align effective IT solutions with business initiatives Key responsibilities include serve as a liaison between business units and IT to ultimately provide technical solutions to meet users business needs and translate these business needs into functional specifications identify business operations strengths and weaknesses and suggest improvements for automating or redesigning business processes and create functional requirements and other documents including use cases and test plans in support of efficient and quality project delivery Must have bachelors degree in computer science business or related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant educationcertifications and work experience Three to four years of experience with progressive responsibility in businesssystems analysis required enabling business objectives leading softwaresystems development life cycle writing business requirements and functional specifications and mentoring staff Experience with use case development and analysis largescale project development diverse technology environments large volume data processing environments and nonprofit or association experience preferred Must be able to manage a heavy workload within tight deadlines work independently build consensus in teams grasp technical concepts quickly and translate technical verbiage into easily understandable language Strong writtenoral communication interpersonal problemsolving negotiation presentation diplomacy and organizational skills required Proficiency with data modeling concepts and project management methodologies essential Excellent MS Office Visio PowerPoint and MS Project skills required along with solid working knowledge of relevant technology concepts such as relational databases clientserver HTML NET and Webbased architectures Some evenings and weekend work required as well as occasional travel The AAP offers an excellent work environment competitive salary and a very comprehensive benefits package Additionally we are an Equal Opportunity Employer (MFDV) that values the strength diversity brings to our workplace As a reaffirmation to our employeefocused culture since 2005 the AAP has been named one of the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in the Chicagoland area Interested candidates should reference position HRD673 and provide salary requirements when sending submissions to American Academy of Pediatrics 141 Northwest Point Blvd Elk Grove Village Illinois 60007 EMAIL resumesaaporg FAX 8472285099 wwwaaporg |
