| IT Systems Engineer The IT Systems Engineer will upgrade the capabilities of the Telx IT department specifically in the areas of endpoint and network security and IT automation The role will help to roll out and administer tools to monitor the network and endpoints automate software and patch deployment and increase security at various layers At the same time the IT Systems Engineer role will assist with the support and projects related to the Telx IT Infrastructure including expanding the network to new locations and deploying new applications Main Responsibilities DLP and NAC Drive implementation and own management of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Network Access Control (NAC) tools Server Network Monitoring Manage and monitor the health of the network and server environment via monitoring tools Create regular monitoring reports with actionable items for IT management Software Deployment Setup and administer management tools to automate the deployment of end user software and corporate security policies such as MSSC Asset Management Drive usage of and administer a database of all PC Server and Network assets ensuring all asset information is kept accurate at all times Antivirus assist the help desk team with administration of Symantec Endpoint Protection suite General Support o Provide supportassistance with configuration and administration of new network devices and servers o Respond to requests promptly while providing accurate and on time documentation on helpdesk tracking system o Must be available and on call after business hours and weekends as part of rotating oncall schedule Qualifications Bachelors degree or on relevant job experience 510 years system admin and network support in a multisite 247 environment preferably Able and disciplined to work with limited supervision Minimum travel between sites Must have valid driver license and car preferably Must be able physically to lift 60 lbs by self Required Job SkillsKnowledgecertification Experience with automated software deployment tools specifically MSSC (Microsoft System Center) Experience implementing or administering network access control (NAC) and data loss prevention (DLP) tools like ForeScout Symantec or others Experience implementing or administering secure web gateway firewall logging web content filtering or web proxy servers Experience with networkserver monitoring and asset management tools Architectural familiarity with all layers of the IT stack from data center to desktop Networking LANWAN (certification preferred) Microsoft Windows XP 7 server 2003 2008 (certification preferred) Desired (but not Required) Job SkillsKnowledgecertification Avaya phones or IP phones a plus Extreme Ridgeline management software or other network device EMS solutions Symantec Backup Exec Symantec Endpoint Protection AV management software |
