| Overall Responsibilities The Java Developer works in the Software Tools team in support of the Systems for Improved Pharmaceutical Services (SIAPS) project in the Center for Pharmaceutical Management8203 He or she is an integral part of each phase of the software development lifecycle including design development deployment and maintenance of web based pharmaceutical management solutions and other CPM software products8203 Specific Responsibilities Design develop and deploy the webbased pharmaceutical management solutions in a faced paced agile environment Respond and troubleshoot production issues across offshore development teams Perform unit testing system integration testing and user training Develop design documentation test results documentation and SOP documentation Effectively manage multiple competing priorities Work closely with the Software Tools unit director to make sure the Product development process runs smoothly Maintaining an understanding of software solutions related to the healthcare industry and adapting to trendsneeds within the industry Excellent verbal and written communication skills evidenced by the ability to communicate complex technical subjects to senior management and nontechnical audiences Perform end user demos and trainings on software use features functionality and support Ability to speak FrenchPortuguese Spanish desirable International travel as required Supervise the development of software systems to form a basis for the solution of information processing problems Participate in interactions with customers as a technical expert for product subsystems Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field a masters degree will be a plus 5+ Years of J2EE development experience and development methodologies 4+ years experience with JBOSS 4+ years of configuration management of J2EE applications Excellent software development skills strong skills in Oracle PLSQL and SQL development database integration with web based applications Strong analytical aptitude Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word Excel Outlook etc Ability to look across systems and identify common relationships Experience and understanding of the public health industry a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English evidenced by the ability to communicate complex technical subjects to senior management and non technical audiences Team player with the ability to work productively with internal and external clients and to translate requirements into solutions Develop and maintain an understanding of software solutions related to the needs of developing countries pharmaceutical management Ability to speak FrenchSpanishRussian very desirable Willingness and ability to travel 20 internationally and domestically as needed Background Information Management Sciences for Health is an equal opportunity employer offering employment without regard to race color religion sex sexual orientation age national origin citizenship physical or mental handicap or status as a disabled or Vietnam Era veteran of the US Armed Forces Notes Note There are no relocation allowances available for this position |
