| Coastal Environmental Systems Inc a world leader in the manufacture and integration of Weather Monitoring Equipment and development of related Software has an exciting opportunity for a software security specialist based in Seattle WA For over 30 years Coastal has designed built and installed professional grade weather stations and environmental monitoring systems These data acquisition systems are deployed worldwide in extreme and demanding environments such as Antarctica and the Sahara desert Our systems and software provide operational weather information for aviation environmental monitoring and hazardous response purposes We are looking for a Software Security Specialist to work on a number of our major programs The candidate has experience with managing software security updates for systems including Windows updates and doing a controlled rollout of software updates The ideal candidate has experience with DIACAP and evaluating IA controls Responsibilities Evaluate software security updates for applicability to program Apply and test patches Evaluate impacts on the software and work with engineering team to mitigate Produce regular reports on the security updates and testing Be part of the team implementing DIACAP for the program The ideal candidate would have participated in the DIACAP process Qualifications BSCS or equivalent degree Minimum 5 years working on software security Excellent communication skills Experience working with software with custom configurations and with configuration management preferably in an ISO 9000 environment Experience developing test plans and reports Must be a US citizen Preferred Experience with meteorology oceanography physical sciences Experience with Serial device and TCPIP communication Experience with weather data especially for aviation weather reporting |
