Job Description
| Purpose Ensure overall availability and reliability of company server operations disk arrays network security and the VMWare Virtual Server environment Regularly monitor Microsoft and VM server load network traffic patterns identify traffic or hardware problems and resolve them in a timely manner Act as the backup resource in supporting VOIP and Exchange server operations Monitor evaluate and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases Research recommend and implement changes to enhance system operating efficiency and security Responsibilities Administration of Windows Servers Domain Controllers Antivirus servers and VMWare virtual servers at all company offices General server network troubleshooting and technical support as required Installs and upgrades servers andor disk array firmware and operating systems Monitorsmaintains the continued operation and availability of the network servers including networks drives MS Active Directory users security groups network print queues remote VPN access and VMWare virtual servers Serves as a backup to the Network Engineer Exchange and VOIP Administrators for maintaining firewalls switches MS Exchange servers and Shoretel VOIP servers switches Education and Experience 3 year DegreeDiploma or 5+ years equivalent practical experience 5+ years Windows Enterprise Server Active Directory design implementation and admin 5+ years Exchange Enterprise design implementation and admin 3+ years VMWare VSphere design implementation and admin 3+ years handson experience with CISCO firewalls and switches LANWAN management and systems administration Background in virtual private networks (VPNs) TCPIP intrusion detection and firewall implementation Microsoft Certified Systems Professional (MCSP) is mandatory VMWare Certified Systems Engineer is mandatory Shoretel Certified VOIP Engineer is desirable Microsoft Certified Exchange Professional is desirable Demonstrated Competence in the following Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel Outlook Visio Advanced Internet search processes and research abilities Shoretel VOIP system management interface MS Exchange system management interface MS Active Directory management interface VMWare Vsphere server Operations Manager interfaces CISCO IOS command line and Switch GUI interface |
