| Available immediately Information Specialist to work onsite at the Navy Yard for Naval Energy Office integrating and updating information systems for new Navy energy initiative Position funded through FY 2013 with possibility for multiple extensions Firm is Basile Buamann Prost Cole Associates Inc a major provider of business and financial consulting services to the US Navy An Information Systems (IS) Specialist(s) who at a minimum shall demonstrate experience in the following areas Integration of computer science information management andor automated data processing principles with expertise in hardware and software systems processes structures and programming language to address data automation issues Use of conventional approaches methods and techniques to define plan organize design develop modify test and integrate database or data processing systems and websites Use of detailed specifications and adaptation of standardized techniques methods criteria and precedents to develop or modify portions of an application Formulation of architectural design functional specifications and system interfaces Documentation of modifications to software or applications Oracle Sharepoint or Lotusbased website design development and maintenance consistent with strategic communications and information management plans and management and successful completion of project segments or phases that are part of broader more complex projects Required Proficiency in Oracle platforms Highly Desirable Proficiency in Excel and Access Proficiency in Visual Basic Understand data process and data management Ability to go through data dictionaries to understand relate and link data elements among various systems Willing to familiarize with functionality of Navy systems like eProjects eContracts iNFADs etc Proficiency in SQL plus programming in PLSQL or some 3g language for data processing and management Ability to understand and then guide the client in the design development and implementation of a Enterprise Data Warehouse |
