| The Company eSolar develops large utilityscale solar thermal power plants to cleanly and costeffectively generate electricity on a massive scale The simple concept of making renewable energy costcompetitive with fossil fuel energy has driven eSolar to engineer a paradigm shift in CSP technology providing a costeffective and scalable solution eSolar partners with leading energy companies around the world to enable complete project capabilities ranging from technology development and component manufacturing to power plant construction and operation eSolars corporate headquarters is located in Burbank California Position Background This is a unique opportunity to leverage software skills to materially impact climate change by working with a company that harnesses the power of software to make possible solar power generation on massive worldwide scale Ideal candidates are software engineers with extensive experience on mission critical vehicle control largescale systems control or industrial process automation Job Purpose Assuring the quality of software that controls operate and maintain massive utilityscale solar power plants through software development and automation Key Position Accountabilities Software Quality Assurance Software design and development for testing and quality assurance of eSolars revolutionary solar field control software system including Analysis of software requirements and functionalities Development and automation of test plans and test cases Creation and maintenance of test laboratories and environments Requirements Bachelor degree in physics math computer science engineering or equivalent 4+ years of professional software development experience in test utilizing C C++ SQL Powershell and processes and tools on the Windows platform such as Visual Studio SQL Server and TFS Experience with design and development of test plans and test cases test laboratories and test environments Experience with testing and test automation of virtual systems Strong upperlevel college math skills Experience with the quality assuruance of industrial process control and automation software andor high availabilitymissioncritical system Desirable Experiences Experience with configuration management on the Windows platform and Microsoft Test Manager (or equivalent) Experience with software that interacts with and controls hardware particularly in robotics Experience with testing and test automation of scalable distributed systems Experience with testing and test automation of highly secure systems Experience working in renewable energy particularly solar power or solar thermal Candidates must apply via Jobvite link eSolar is an Equal Opportunity Employer |
