Job Description
| The person selected for this position will be a Junior member of the Systems Engineering team8203 The Systems Engineering team supports the installation optimization integration troubleshooting backup recover modification security and upgrading of IT systems and components in support of the companys business requirements8203 Responsibilities Assist with daytoday systems support in the datacenter Manage Domain8203DNS configurations and changes Manage VPN policies Audit and maintain accurate records for inventory Carry out basic network tasks such as firewall requests and tagging vlans Help with patch management and ensuring a base level of security Manage backup scheduling and ensure the integrity of backups Creation of scripts to automate repetitive and complex processes and tasks Monitor the health of our server farm and respond to server alerts as per the company knowledgebase and instructions from Sr8203 Engineers Responsible for server stability Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned Participate in a pager oncall rotation Qualifications Knowledge of Windows Server 200382032008 Knowledge of Linux not required but preferred Previous server administration experience Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to troubleshoot and resolve server network and software problems Ability to work productively and efficiently to meet deadlines Attention to detail Analytical skills Friendly presence and helpful attitude good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others Additional Experience (Nice to have) Tools Nagios8203Cacti8203WSUS8203BackupExec8203Jira8203Confluence8203PowerShell Storage ISCSI8203CIFS8203NFS8203ZFS8203DFS8203FRS8203Equallogic8203Nexenta8203Netapp Server8203Network Juniper8203Foundry8203Brocade8203Netscreen8203APC8203HP8203DELL8203IBM8203VMWARE8203AWS SNMP8203SSL8203SYSLOG8203Active Directory Authentication Radius8203RAS8203ACE8203ISA8203LDAP This is a fulltime salary position8203 Benefits package includes Medical Dental Vision Life FSA 401K paid time off and paid holidays8203 Send resume to Spark4Hire8203spark8203net |
