| BASIC FUNCTION The Business Analyst performs the tasks necessary to implement Oracle applications features and functions in locations that are already running on Oracle as well as those where the current systems are being replaced with Oracle As part of the implementation team the Business Analyst is to coordinate strategies for design build and implement the Oracle ERP applications used for the Manufacturing and Planning business areas This includes working closely with other Oracle team members management and users to determine the best practices to support existing and new business requirements As part of the support team the role includes post implementation support of end users and the management team with issue resolution and training ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1 Develop best practice methodologies design setup test and implement Oracle applications to support the business requirements and processes for various locations both within and outside the US 2 Troubleshoot questionsproblems from the user community with Oracle Application issues 3 Coordinate with functional users business leaders and other implementation team members to ensure thorough testing and effective implementation of configurations and controls 4 Organize and lead team focus groups to document processes and identify improvement opportunities Work with users to prioritize business improvements identified and implement changes per prioritization 5 Open and track Oracle Service Requests for application issues through Oracles Metalink system 6 Assist in developing implementing and maintaining policies procedures and training plans for Oracle implementation and support 7 Provide post go live support for newly implemented companies and locations 8 All other related duties as assigned by supervisormanager Qualifications Minimum 57 years full project life cycle experience implementing Oracle applications in various business environments BS degree in Computer Science Information systems or applicable area is desired Or An equivalent combination of experience education and training which provides the desired knowledge skills and abilities SkillsAptitude Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP applications of Inventory Bills of Material Work In Process and MRPPlanning along with the integration of these applications to other Oracle applications Knowledge of Oracle data base fundamentals including table structure within the above applications Knowledge and use of Oracle development tools ie TOAD Discoverer SQL+ Knowledge of personal computers and personal computer software application packages Strong Knowledge of ERP fundamentals Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively both orally and in writing Ability to train and provide support to Oracle application system users Ability to perform system troubleshooting of Oracle ERP application problems Ability to implement or coordinate software solutions with Oracle applications Ability to assist users in solving systems problems Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with business units and other associates Ability to read and interpret technical manuals used in the implementation of new organization unit to Oracle ERP system Ability to maintain records and write reports create presentations Good organizational and time management skills mandatory Self Starter team player a must |
