| Description Academy Sports + Outdoors is a premier sports outdoor and lifestyle retailer with a broad assortment of quality hunting fishing and camping equipment and gear along with sports and leisure products footwear apparel and much more The Texasbased company operates over 140 stores throughout Alabama Arkansas Florida Georgia Louisiana Mississippi Missouri Oklahoma South Carolina Tennessee and Texas The Academy Sports + Outdoors philosophy is to deliver an unparalleled shopping experience by providing convenience offering a broad selection of quality products delivering exceptional customer service and selling the right stuff at every day low prices For more information about Academy Sports + Outdoors visit academycom facebookcomacademy twittercomacademy and youtubecomacademy We are currently seeking an IT Sterling Systems Administrator This position is located at our Corporate offices in Katy Texas Responsibilities include Administers Sterling Commerce OMS WMS and Call Center applications with DB2 databases on AIX Sets up and configures system users Schedules jobs and performs routine system maintenance Validates production deployments when changes are made Coordinates and publishes production system changes Tests and supports applications individually and with other software developers Monitors measures and tunes performance on all levels of system operations Follows the change control process Defines and publishes process to transition to DR environment and reinstate production environment Documents procedures and application code Works with business analysts to produce designs and processes workflows for enterprise systems Troubleshoots systems issues Performs code reviews attends training and meetings Requirements Bachelors degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience 7+ years in Internet software technologies including 5+ years handson experience in administration of large objectoriented application projects 3+years Sterling Commerce (Yantra) administration 3+years in server administration Retail and distribution center experience preferred J2EE Application Server development and administration Websphere preferred Experience with AIX platforms with scripting languages Server side scripting language such as Perl Integration using message queues MQ Series preferred Advanced knowledge and understanding of XML Strong knowledge of system and data integration concepts tools and middleware Experience with relational database design and writing efficient SQL queries DB2 and SQL Server preferred Understanding of PCI security issues and regulations Expert with Application Servers Sterling Commerce Relational Databases eCommerce systems and concepts Proficient with Lotus Notes Microsoft Office Visio Source Control Preferred Websphere Application Server MQ Series Websphere Commerce DB SQL Server Apply online at wwwacademycomcareers EOE |
