| SUMMARY Christian Care Ministry is in search of an experienced Vice President of InformationTechnology Officer The Vice President will be responsible for supporting the mission and vision of Christian Care Ministry and assisting in the implementation of the organizations strategic development plan The Vice President will lead the development of an ecosystem of innovative tools technologies apps and services that connect Christians in a way that enables them to carry each others everyday burdens The Vice President is also responsible for developing implementing and managing the organizations Information Systems and Business Applications to ensure that service levels meet andor exceed the expectations of our customers and internal stakeholders As a member of the executive management team the Vice President is a key contributor to the organizations strategic planning growth and development exercises Since 1993 Christian Care Ministry has developed and distributed innovative tools technologies apps and services to the faithbased community Our mission is to connect and equip Christians to carry each other burdens Our flagship program is a healthcare sharing ministry called MediShare which consists of approximately 50000 US Citizens and growing Medishare is a noninsurance health plan that works as an alternative to traditional health insurance by connecting a community of Christian Americans to share in each others medical bills on an ongoing basis Since its inception MediShare members have saved and shared more than 600 Million in medical bills WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT BY JOINING OUR TEAM 61607 The opportunity to use your experience with emerging technologies to develop an ecosystem of innovative and useful tools that serve the Christian community 61607 A competitive salary that is based on your professional experience past accomplishments and ability to contribute 61607 The opportunity to work with an exceptional team of people who are bright creative courageous and have a passion to serve Christ 61607 The opportunity to use your God given gifts and talents to do something meaningful in the lives of others and the Kingdom of God ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES A primary function of this position is the identification and presentation of hardware and software to ensure that computer capabilities are responsive to the needs of Ministry growth and changing objectives A continuing partnership must also be maintained with departmental leaders on data processing matters in order to answer all questions evaluate needs monitor service advise on problems encourage data processing education and understanding and ensure smooth conversion from existing computer systems to any new improved ones In addition the Vice President 61607 Develops strategic plans identifying the necessary technologies and applications to support the organizations business demands 61607 Plans and controls staffing and development organization hardware acquisitions and facilities for the information systems department to assure that they are consistent with and supportive of the business plans of the Ministry 61607 Directs the design development and maintenance of systems programs and systems software to meet the needs of the Ministry 61607 Administers and controls the information systems expense budget to contribute to a cost effective operation 61607 Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware to assure that new developments are incorporated in future systems of the Company 61607 Maintains close contact with representatives of firms providing data processing hardware software and support service 61607 Keeps abreast of stateoftheart developments through attendance at trade and professional meetings and seminars trade shows perusal of the literature and use of supplementary educational activities 61607 Supervises information systems department personnel including specialists in systems analysis programmers operations specialist 61607 Provides staff with professional and personal growth opportunities 61607 Participates in praying with all external and internal customers 61607 Performs other duties as may be assign PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED OF VP of IT 61607 Provide daytoday leadership and management that mirrors the purpose mission and core values of CCM 61607 Ability to lead plan and manage change 61607 Passion or the willingness to become immersed in work 61607 Initiative 61607 Strong organizational skills 61607 Strong time management skills 61607 Strong negotiation skills 61607 The ability to set priorities 61607 Good communication skills |
