|Purpose Statement Will be responsible for managing data availability integration transformation and delivery to the Finance Group data mart In addition will develop and implement comprehensive data integration processes standardize the presentation of information derived from multiple subledger transaction systems and develop data sources necessary to support financial reporting needs Essential Functions 1 Extracts structured and unstructured data from source systems transforming it to fit business performance management needs and loading it into a finance data mart Data source formats include relational databases flat files and nonrelational database structures such as IMS or other data structures such as VSAM 2 Designs ETL processes by leveraging Informatica Power Center 81 and Hyperion Data Integration tools Ensures ETL process is developed in modular fashion in shared folders and reusable objects to enforce consistency timely development Reviews ETL production design for performance optimization 3 Collaborates with business functional leaders by analyzing and evaluating business requirements diagnose the design proposedesign alternatives and recommendations Plans and coordinates the implementation of new data requirements 4 Oversees the data load production process and the implementation of new data load files in accordance with the departments change management process 5 Resolves issues through troubleshooting and quick diagnoses 6 Ensures data quality by designing and implementing adequate internal controls and monitoring processes Includes controls to identify individual ETL flows that are performance issues Ensures controls are maintained when designing new structures by utilizing object naming conventions to encourage consistent development and ease of migration from development to test to production 7 Works closely with Information Technology staff through the phases of coding and implementation of external data source files providing clarifications as necessary Maintains effective ongoing communications with the business and IT community and operational management regarding system plans projects budgets expenditures and policies 8 Prepares systems procedures system operating guides contingency and recovery plans and maintain technical application level documentation Education Required Education or Equivalent Experience Bachelors Degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience required MastersAdvanced Degree in Business preferred Required Experience 4 or more years in banking and financial services AdministrativeTechnical Skills Other Information 5+ years experience using Informatica including mappings workflows etc 5+ years experience using Oracle RDBMS including PLSQL development and ability to design and tune complex queries 4+ years experience in developing full lifecycle data warehouse implementations support and upgrades 4+ years of experience in multiterabyte Oracle Data Warehouse environment 2+ years UNIX shell scripting experience Strong Knowledge of Oracle 10g Performance Tuning Oracle Apex experience is a plus Hyperion Essbase andor OBIEE experience is a plus Thorough understanding of the information reporting objectives that drive the key business processes within the Finance division in order to prioritize and apply effective technology solutions that improve functional performance and reduce information processing risk Level Supervised May supervise a team of 2 or more professional staff|
