| POSITION DESCRIPTION The Hybris Architect is responsible for oversight management design and roadmap planning for Medtronics Hybris Platform and related eCommerce Sites POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in or lead design session with Business Analysts User Centered Design Engineers Integration Architects SAP Architects and consultants Prepare high level estimates for Hybris application development Review detailed estimates from various teams for accuracy reasonableness and for implementation feasibility Resolve architectural issuestechnical blocks Guide development team on integration plan and risks Responsibility for overall deployment plan on most projects Develops or contributes to build and release plans Coordinate Medtronic Hybris Portal Application releases with SAP and Integration release schedules Accountable for technical design of associated teams deliverables Create support plans in conjunction with project managers Recommend staffing based on need Manage GRS Incidents Service Requests Change Requests Write Maintain and Review support documentation Adherence to all Quality and Regulatory requirements Understand and adhere to all SOPs Ensure estimates are given in a timely manner and the associated resource demand is forecasted and locked down with Managed Services provider Provide detailed functional knowledge and maintain insight to current industry best practices and how they can be applied to Medtronic Serve as a subject matter expert to other IT groups Ensure that Medtronics systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Medtronics Information Protection Policies and Standards as well as best Information Protection practices BASIC QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelors Degree YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 14+ years of experience with Bachelor degree 12+ years of IT experience with MA or MS SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED 3 years experience developing transactional web based applications DESIREDPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with any major ecommerce system (Hybris DemandWare ATG WebSphere Commerce Amazon Web Store) 7+ years J2EEJava EE experience including Servlets JSP JPA and JMS Integration experience with complex heterogeneous systems environments Experience integrating with SAP Experience with the design and implementation of transactional systems Experience with the design and implementation of web systems with frameworks such as Spring MVC Struts JavaServer Faces or Google Web Toolkit Knowledge of UML and proven experience with the definition and documentation of large web systems and infrastructure Knowledge of Credit Card processing systems and best practices Knowledge of Software Design Patterns Experience with Service Oriented Architectures Experience connecting systems using a major Integration Software Platform such as WebMethods TIBCO WebSphere Integrator or Oracle Fusion Experience in technical leadership including the creation of prototypesproofs of concept performing code reviews providing technical coaching Ability to evaluate technical alternatives considering business needs technology fit costbenefit security disaster recovery and department strategies Ability to deliver on commitments (high quality on budget on time) while working on multiple projects concurrently PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile The employee is also required to interact with a computer and communicate with peers and coworkers Must be able to travel independently to various Medtronic buildingssites |
