| Who We Are We are a lean agile company that prizes smart enjoyable and hardworking individuals We are solid having been in the supply chain planning area for 20 years and more profitable than ever We are committed to our people offering one of the best benefits packages in the industry And we are looking to add a high performing consultant to our team Summary of Position The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong consistent record of delivering successful applications and an appreciation for a multidimensional professional growth path SQL skills are highly valued in addition to more general supply chain knowledge Given our high clientfacing requirements excellent oral and written skills as well as a willingness to travel are prerequisites Responsibilities Design and implement decision support applications using the Arkieva framework (Arkieva is our proprietary supply chain planning software and we will provide training to the new hire) aConsultants are expected to be able to define a problem resolution path when presented with a fair description of business problems These typically fit traditional supply chain planning problem profiles but can be somewhat different as well The ability to stretch existing knowledge to generate possible solutions for new or unconventional problems is a requirement bIt is expected that the consultant can develop and deliver suitable presentations and training to clients when required cIt is expected that consultants can exercise appropriate project and client management skills and is capable of nurturing client relationships to generate repeat business Consultants will be involved in providing presales and marketing support Towards this end each consultant is expected to be able to write technical assessment documentation do product demos develop and present project proposals Consultants should be comfortable working in a team environment and be willing to assume a leadership role or contribute in a nonleading role as needed Flexibility is a key asset From time to time this position will require that the consultant assist with other applications software development and other tasks as needed Consultants are expected to assist in the development of junior staff and act as a mentor Required Skills (top three are most important) SQL proficiency Knowledge of the full range of supply chain planning issues including demand management planning transportation and scheduling Excellent Oral and written communication skills Knowledge of Operations Research techniques Consultants must be prepared to acquire APICS certification Understand supply chain planning concepts business process engineering principles and be comfortable with positioning decision support against ERP systems A graduate degree in Operations Management or related field is preferred Other Requirements Consultants should be willing to travel in the range of 10 to 50 of the time Weekly travel is not the norm but some projects will require more than others Consultants should be prepared to enhance hisher expertise in one of the many fields of supply chain and become a lead consultant at Arkieva over time in that chosen field As an extension she or he should be willing to train others in this field |
