| PLEASE do not just send a resume Apply by completing our online application on our employment page at wwwtahomasdus JOB PURPOSE To assist the Technology Department in establishing and maintaining an efficient effective and technologically current District computing environment Applicant should have Brocade Certified Network Engineer (BCNE) or equivalent experienceknowledge experience with Aruba Wireless or equivalent enterprise wireless system and experience configuring and maintaining firewalls (Palo Alto preferred) QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent Three years successful experience maintaining computer systems and networks required At least two years in a technology training program MCSE certification or like requirements evaluation by District Knowledge of computer hardware and software including installation configuration and repair Experience in network switching and routing Ability to research test and problem solve multiple platform options Ability to work independently or team with assigned personnel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical abilities include lifting(up to 50 lbs) carrying crouching and near visual acuity Applicant must complete test of skills and knowledge Valid Washington State drivers license Potential to use own vehicle in the course of conducting authorized duties Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance REPORTS TO Technology Operations Supervisor PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Install configure manage troubleshoot and repair all district network equipment Support all network software including Microsoft server OS Exchange System Center applications Antivirus IIS SQL and network productivity software (Office etc) Plan test and implement network changes and upgrades Test and repair communications wiring infrastructure Monitor and troubleshoot widearea network problems and connectivity issues as well as issues outside the district with ISPs Setup and maintain a test environment Coordinate with Instructional Technology Coordinator and Technology Operations Supervisor on selection of equipment and software to test Research and evaluate new technology for viability within the network environment Assist in creation and evaluation of pilot programs for both network and classroom applications Install configure and support computing equipment operating systems and software applications for multiple platforms Research network hardware and software Resolve and document assigned Work Orders Communicate with staff concerning Work Order issues and resolutions Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities TERMS This position represented by the Public School Employees of Tahoma and terms are subject to the current negotiated agreement DURATION 8 hours a day 260 days SALARY 3183 3420 per hour (DOE) |
