| Job Description This position in Farmington Hills MI will service in an engineer implementation position as well as providing request for service tickets Primary assignments will involve servicing inhouse requests for implementation of service requests and performing tasks related to network configuration management and governance of the configuration of network devices (LANWANVoice) Network equipment migrations typically take place during evening hours and can last into the early morning hours while network documentation and discovery activities are generally performed during normal business hours You will be on call on a rotating basis to support users off hours In support of these activities the following specific duties will be performed throughout the enterprise network Manage and maintain desired state configuration of all network devices throughout the company including but is not limited to the IOS parameter and configuration changes in managing the network infrastructure on an enterprise level Perform discovery validation deployment post deployment documentation and technical assistance for projects Consistently support compliance and the principles of responsibility (company code of conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information protecting the assets of the organization acting with ethics and integrity reporting noncompliance and adhering to applicable federal state and local laws and regulations accreditation and licensure requirements (if applicable) and company policies and procedures Specific Requirements (required unless noted otherwise) Familiarity with configuration and testing of terminal servers Experience or understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and software testing methodologies Experience in creating maintaining and executing test plans and test cases Group Policys Network device administering configuration updating Experience administering network management systems Knowledge and hands on use of major networking technologies (VLAN and VPN) Broad exposure to realworld device configurations 35 years in implementation service desk experience of primarily LAN infrastructure Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced multitasking environment while maintaining a high level of service to field implementation and engineering personnel at several locations Highly reliable selfstarter cando attitude able to work with minimal supervision Solid Understanding TCPIP Routing Switching VLANs ACL SysLog CLI TFTP Ethernet SNMP DNS DHCP Dell Hardware (RoutersSwitchesWireless) |
