Senior Helpers is a franchising company that is an international provider of home care services to seniors First incorporated in 2001 Senior Helpers was founded to provide dependable and affordable care to seniors using next iteration systems and technology Our mission is to ensure a better quality of life for our elderly clients and their families by providing dependable and affordable care We are a trusted and respected organization that takes a responsible role in supporting our clients and their families our employees and our community ROLE OVERVIEW The Web Developer role will join us at an extraordinary time in our organizations history This position has the responsibility to be able to perform all aspects of the development tasks including frontend backend and database development They will support other departments in achieving their objectives through using technology The position will also be responsible for maintaining our current systems and exploring future options The Web Developer will report directly to the Diretor of IT Services The Web Developers role is to develop and maintain the companies various websites and to provide excellent customer service to franchise owners for issues and questions including but not limited Website content management and 3rd party vendor access The person has the responsibility to be able to perform all aspects of the development tasks including frontend backend and database development In addition the person will support other departments in achieving their objectives through using technology Responsibilities Responsible for website development and maintenance Ensures optimal running of IT and IT systems for the extended workforce of the organization Works closely with Franchise Support Specialist Web developers and 3rd Party vendors Engages with external IT vendors suppliers outsourcing partners and software developers and ensures the smooth running of the organizational IT infrastructure Ensures that our company is flexible enough to adapt and adhere to changing industry needs and federal government compliances and regulations Keeps themselves abreast of all the latest industry happenings IT best practices and evolution of technologiesstandards Working with other team members to identify recommendations for the appropriate technical solutions Promoting a collaborative work environment with team members and customers providing task analysis and technical insight to help develop and deliver the needed capabilities via a mobile webbased environment Developing and maintaining webenabled capabilities and custom applications Document business processes Timely response to all franchise questions and issues Conducts technology orientation for all staff prepares technology and systems for new and existing staff Assists staff in understanding and using technology Provide training and support for franchisee web content maintenance Other duties as assigned Formal Education Certification Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences Engineering or other related field required or 5+ years of successful experience Certifications in Web development PHP SQL a plus Knowledge Experience PHP MODX mySQL HTML5 and CSS3 JavaScript jQuery Strong problem solving and analytical abilities are required Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a deadline driven environment Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team setting Excellent analytical skills and creative problemsolving skills Strong knowledge of database architecture with web application integration Knowledge of internet advertising email marketing traffic metrics or affiliate advertising is a definite plus Technical awareness of current systems software protocols and standards etc Personal Attributes Strong customer service orientation Proven analytical and problemsolving abilities Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills Adept at reading writing and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required Ability to present ideas and solutions in userfriendly language Highly selfmotivated and directed Keen attention to detail Skilled at working within a teamoriented collaborative environment Work Conditions 40+ hour onsite work week with oncall availability 24x7 Up to 10 travel required Sitting for extended periods of time Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard mouse power tools and to handle other computer components Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals
