Job Description

NCARBs Information Systems (IS) Directorate has an opening for a Business Analyst to work on Information Technology (IT) projects migrating legacy applications to modern technology capitalizing on the migration effort to streamline and optimize business processes add new desired functionality and update existing features The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting requirements from various internal and external stakeholder groups documenting and presenting requirements in a format appropriate for the audience and validating that the requirements have been implemented correctly This individual will collaborate with stakeholders and IS to develop work products iteratively using Agile methods Duties will include Requirements Elicitation Determine the most appropriate requirements elicitation technique for the audience Plan and conduct requirements elicitation activities with stakeholders Document and confirm requirements elicitation results with stakeholders Requirements Analysis Work with stakeholders to organize and prioritize requirements Specify and model requirements using tools and models most appropriate for the audience Ensure the IS team has the details needed to implement requirements Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the developers to address any questions concerns or clarify requirements Solution Validation Advise product owners in allocating requirements for development Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with appropriate stakeholders Assist Quality Assurance (QA) with defining acceptance criteria for requirements Ensure requirements are implemented as expected and meet business needs Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field required or equivalent combination of education training and experience Experience using Requirements Workshops Interviews Surveys and Questionnaires Focus Groups and Prototyping to elicit requirements Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills Experience using Agile methods to deliver software solutions is preferred Exposure to usercentered design and usability testing is a plus Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with widerange of professionals Strong communication skills both written and verbal High level of flexibility creativity and innovation Superior customer service skills Ability to maintain a positive attitude while under pressure Detail oriented and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fastpaced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word Outlook Excel and Power Point NCARB is an EEO employer committed to recruiting a diverse workforce We offer a competitive salary and benefit package along with an excellent work environment including flexible work hours smart benefits program convenient metroaccessible location and opportunity for professional growth and development Please note that NCARB is not able to sponsor visas at this time Interested applicants should submit a resume cover letter and salary requirements
